Great video, really makes me want to go explore this trail! Thanks. This video and my "encouraging" has resulted in a couple of buddies agreeing to run this trail this coming April. Can't wait!
awesome, you will have a ton of fun, let us know what you think. Also don't forget to go to our app or website to get details on the trail before leaving.
@@Trailsoffroad tomorrow I have my monthly drill with California State guard can’t miss it. However, last week I was at lost city and Firey valley NV so beautiful. Also Hoover dam changed a lot too.
That drinker at 0620 has been there for many, many years....can't remember the name. Hunted a lot of muleys and quail in that big wash. Beautiful country.
Recently ran (Feb. 2024) this trail again and all the rails and ties are gone, the trestle is still there. Bradshaw trail had a lot of damage to it due to all the stormy weather in the area but was very passable.
William Bradshaw found the trail before the time of the Salton Sea. It was indeed created as a freight and passanger route for the gold fields in La Paz, Arizona (just north of today's Eranburg). There was even a ferry to cross the river. The route later became the part of the Butterfield Stadge line and ran from the San Gabriel Mission to Phonix.
Your are correct in that is one of the most easiest trails to do, as far as the train trestle being removed that is still a unknown. My friends and I did this trail Feb.10-11, 2020, 14 Truck Campers. Your video is one of several I use to determent if our TC can do a trail.
Yeah, I hear you. It isn't that easy when you add in we had about 16 hours of drive time, dozens of conversations outside while on the trip, and a dozen more talking clips between the few clips you saw. Plus this isn't scripted so it is all off the cuff. I am working on coming up with more transition words because I too dislike how much I say it ;) ---- Josh
I’m a new subscriber and a new member to the website. A lot of good info and very cool videos so thank you! Did you guys complete this trail in one day?
Why WHY removing the tracks..... this was a great place for RR enthusiasts to ride “speeders’’” .... hasn’t been used as a live bombing range in ? Great views !
Did u get a chance to check out New Maxico? It is a trail close to the first boat up in the hills, looks like an old mining camp. It is difficult to find and I could not find any history on it.
We did see the trail but were running a little slow at that point, thus we decided to push past it. We are talking about trying to go back out there before it warms up to hit all the side trails.

It is always interesting to find things like this in the desert. Thank you for watching.
The bridge is still standing as of 01-29-2022. I just made the trek from the north.
We have heard rumors they won't be taking down the bridge. Just pull the tracks. We will see.

yeah, there is a lot of debate if they will take the down the bridge. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Yeah, so much cool history. And it wasn't that long ago.
Great content looking forward to more! And looking forward to you getting a microphone, they're cheap.
This is an older video, the equipment we use mostly not days is a lot nicer. But at the same time, its hard to deal with wind out in the open.
Passed right by my family property! Love it out there
Very cool, where is their property at?
Contrary to rumor, as of March 4th 2021 the train tressel is still there.
Yeah, we are hearing the same rumors. We have seen the tracks up to the bridge removed. But not the bridge

Good video man!! I’m ready!
It is a great trail. Make sure you head over to our website and download the details on the trail prior to going. Then upload a trip report after.

Ah, A Great video of this country. I used to truck all over California I wish I could have drove this country also.
If you still out wheeling, make sure you post up photos of the trips you do
Great video as usual. Have any plans to do the Freeway Rdidge/Black Gulch trails that are in between Bakersfield and Lake Isabella off the 178?
No plans, but I would be up for it - Josh
@@Trailsoffroad If you ever do, I'd love to tag along. Trail head only 45 minutes from my house.

Y’all
Got phone service at this trail ? Ol lady demands I have cel service to get out here
There as some on the east side and a little on the west side, but none to little in the middle.

Yes we did. It wasn't our intention but as we got close to the end we just pushed a little too far to want to stop and setup camp in the dark.
Nice trail. So how do you know which area allows dispersed camping? Anywhere with a turnout or is it marked?
Head over to our website, you will find all the details there. The link is in the video description.
Leave No Trace! Nice trail
Thank you for watching

We feel the same way. Better get out there soon. The tracks were removed all the way to the bridge. Won't be much longer before they all are gone.
