    Of all the random volca/logue jams I've heard, this remains one of my absolute favorites.

    When I hear the words "live jam" I don't tend to think of something so melancholy and peaceful. Great job.

      Thank you, I'm glad to hear that. I often just use 'live jam' for lack of a better way to describe it.

      @@DreamsOfWiresYour music and your pictures remind me that there is beauty even in every ordinary moment of our lives, if you slow down and really want to perceive it. And it also makes me a little sad because we overlook so many little miracles every day while our lives are passing bye silently...

    • @DreamsOfWires
      @DreamsOfWires  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I think you are right, we do overlook too much. Many of us have become too distracted by our phones and social media etc, and have no patience, everything must be available instantly, and with no effort.

    You should definitely get the volca beats with that, just faintly, great music !

    This is really evocative and I find myself thinking about this music a lot - I think it's a great example of how to do a lot with relatively little sonically.

    This was a wonderful piece looking at Seattle. I lived there for 11 years. Loved it. Your channel is amazing. You made me rethink selling my Korg. Thank you for keeping this kind of electronic music out there.

    Just took delivery of a monotribe yesterday and have been spinning through TH-cam for patch ideas and came across yours. I know you've not sold it (Bills. I hear ya!) but loved what you were doing with your machine. I've now hooked up with your Bandcamp so hopefully I'll be making a couple purchases. Strong Koyaanisqatsii vibes here.

    Very nice... amazing what one can do with < $500 of gear. Sync is one of the powerful hidden features of Korg synths.

    i like that almost 'overkill' attack on the new korg mini/monologue. super sharp. i hear some people actually complain that you can do this?! makes no sense, just because you can make it click, doesnt mean its a 'fault' .. we like the ability to 'break' boundaries. obv. a parameter that allows you to go 'too far' (no such thing, for me) is exactly what we want. (nice chill tune... cheers =)

      Late reply but I am 100% with you. I feel the same way with guitar pedals. I always look for pedals that would give me that standard sound that could be used musically and at the same time go to the extreme if I ever choose so...Options is the key

    what a moving track...I got the chills....almost felt in a cavernous misty hall inside a church...Baroque?....almost induced existential dilemma of sort. beautiful...sub'd

    Very nice. I spent most of the time during this video trying to figure out which city you were in bc I was pretty sure you’re based in the UK, but I kept thinking, “Man, that looks like the Pacific Northwest!” lol Definitely some drawbacks to globalization, but at the same time, kinda cool how many diverse, multicultural, confusing cities this world has ☺️❤️
    Keep up the good work!

      DreamsOfWires Yeah, I did read the description after, but that’s cool. Where else did you go?? I’ve never been to Seattle myself, and I’m only a COUPLE thousand miles away instead of like, what, five or six thousand?! 😜😂 (Can’t be bothered to Google rn 😉 lol) Anyway, again, great job as always!

      We started in Seattle, then Portland, San Francisco, LA, Phoenix, Austin, Chicago, Baltimore, New York and Boston. Also Vegas and the outskirts of San Diego back in the summer. Thanks again.

    This is so beautiful, I keep playing with the idea of getting a monologue, it would totally fit with my setup (mostly volcas, microkorg, bastl thyme, microgranny) I think you may have just convinced me to add a Monologue to the setup

    Sounds so killer . I’ve got a volca sample and a monologue and I’m trying to decide which vola to get next and I’m thinking keys just to add som polyphony, although I really want the modular !

    Love it! Great atmosphere and harmonics. Love you use the monologue for round and soft sounds. I got rid of my microbrute because it was so hard making it sound beautiful. I did manage to make a soft patch that many liked and we put together a series with 15 entrants with tracks using that patch called SPACE. Anyways the monologue imo offers a wider sonic palette and you use it so well. High quality sound and video too!

    • @DreamsOfWires
      @DreamsOfWires  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much. It can also do FM-like sounds, and can definitely sound hard, but it's certainly capable of making soft, subtle sounds too. I might upload a video of a few of the other patches I made with it perhaps.

    • @ArrayzableMusic
      @ArrayzableMusic 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like a sound idea! The most crazy thing about the monologue is probably the price point. So cheap. You are doing a good job on promoting it 😊

    • @DreamsOfWires
      @DreamsOfWires  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Therer's a lot of good stuff available nowadays, or soon to be, for very reasonable prices. Factor in modular gear too and it's a great time to be into such instruments.

  • @Lainer1
    @Lainer1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I enjoyed this and the video.What's your opinion on this? I am thinking of getting some synth gear, having had synths when I was younger. I want to stick with these smaller units instead of one big synth. This combination along with a few others like the Minilogue, Korg Microkorg, Arturia Microbrute all interest me. I would like to make my own music. I was also looking at the teenage OP-1 because it was all in one, portable and had a bit of everything.

    • @DreamsOfWires
      @DreamsOfWires  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I really can't advise anyone what to get, as I'm not even sure what to get for myself. I just say, buy what you like the look of and start there - they're all great in some way, and each instrument has it's own strengths.

    Sir, good video and wonderful music. Can I ask you, what's the difference between sync as Master the volca and slave the monologue?...why don't use monologue sync out to volca sync in?... Thanks!
