I was 19 on my first trip to Israel. Each and every time I see that coastline from the air, when you know it's land and not a cloud, and no longer just a dream, I cry, as I did again watching your video. So many people had to die over a two thousand years of history to make that worthless piece of desert and swamp a home, where a Jew can live and breath, free in our own land, the land of Zion and Jerusalem. You were able to do it in 13 hours! I would see that as a miracle. I hope it was an amazing trip.
This video was uploaded almost to the day that I returned to Los Angeles from my 1st ever trip to Israel! And on the stupendous 787 Dreamliner as well. Thank you for the video!
@@66tortor I treated myself on that El Al flight to Premium Economy. I remember that there is only 28 seats in Premium, and that made for quite a cozy and spacious trip. The 15 hour flight did not seem that long. But, both the inbound and outbound flights were at night, so sleep also made the flights feel shorter.
Two things amaze me - one, a 600,000 pound machine can carry enough fuel to stay aloft for 12 1/2 hours and 7800 miles and two, I got to see my very first YT video of a jetliner's lavatory. LOL We flew an El Al 747 from DFW to Tel Aviv and back in 1996; most definitely not a high point in the trip primarily due to the beyond-rude stewardesses and cramped conditions (400 passengers). The food was pretty good. But we got from A to B and from B to A without further issue and the 10-day Holy Land visit was the experience of a lifetime.
I go there every year. I used to hate El Al because they always flew old equipment on the same route, and had delays all the time so I haven't flown them since 2016 but will be flying on them in march again now that they have the 787 so I'm excited to see how they are.
Sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Shawn Tristen i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
can u pick ur dinner/breakfast or do they just give it to u? my older sister doesn't like eggs and is very picky about them! everything else shouldn't be a problem :D
I have been in Israel over two decades ago. We flew on Delta. It’s a very long flight. We took nonstop flight from ATL to TLV on the 777-200ER aircraft. We have stayed in the seats for 30 minutes rules to/from Israeli airspace. Due to Israeli government. Hopefully they will relaxed for 30 minutes rules is lifted. There’s no reason for this. Those passengers are allowed go to lavatory before descent approach to Tel Aviv. We have no evidence. They never bring the prohibited items. We have no problem at all.
@@66tortor I would like to see Golgotha in Israel. But if I go to Israel, I will not be allowed to enter some countries and I think Russia could be one of these.
@@Ahuntsicspotter That is not true. When you arrive, the Israeli Immigration officer will not stamp your passport. Instead, they will give you an entry card. This way, no other countries will know that you've visited Israel.
@@66tortor These countries can learn that via social media. For exemple if Russia prohibit these who had traveled to Israel, they will ask you on line when you entered and left Israel. Finnaly when you are on board of the Israel bound flight did you get the customs declaration to filout from your flight attendants?
@@Ahuntsicspotter I have not been to Russia, so I don't know. My wife took care of all paperwork during our trip - I don't know if she had to fill out the form.

Palestine does not exist and never will. There is only Israel and its one and undivided capital Jerusalem. God bless Jerusalem and grant peace to Israel.

Flying from Ireland in May Dublin bringing in direct flights for the first time
I'm taking the flight next week! Did you by any chance bid on business or premium? I bid. Too long of a flight in economy!
I did not. El Al's economy is good. Trust me.

I miss Israel. I want to go back there now that the pandemic is winding down. I particularly want to revisit its capital Jerusalem.
I miss Israel too. Something about that place that makes me want to go back.
What was the seat number?
Simple BUT WELL DONE
I enjoyed It
CONGRATULATIONS

Thank you!

The Davening at the gate -- VERY MUCH a cultural aspect of flying on El Al to Israel. 🇮🇱
Yeshua loves you 🙏🙏🙏

Felix, you should go (when this coronavirus madness is behind us). Israel is nice.

The music is annoying, so much so I didn't finish the video. The video part that I saw was great but the music killed it for me.
Sorry about the music. Will try to do better next time. Thanks for watching (even if it was only partial)!
Pretty much everything about Isreal is great.
Very disappointed that you don’t let the sound of the environment to be heard and you put a piano music over the movie
Sorry
Nice video, I am on this flight tomorrow. Some more happy music would have been better. Such sad music, why?
Thanks. Hey I thought the last song was kinda upbeat.
Hey, we're Jews. Sad music? Sitting alone in the dark? My son never calls me. Oi, happy music you want also?
Worst flight EVER July 25, 2023 Tel Aviv to LAX. 15 hour flight, no food served for 13 hours and only one glass of water. FAs were invisible.

There must be something wrong with your keyboard, there's no such place as Palestine, you obviously meant to say Israel. Shalom!
How many hours was the flight?
About 14-15 hours. Non stop. Time flies , though.
14. The other 16 are just imagination. Hey, don't complain, it took Moses 40 years, and they still wouldn't let him in.
