I remember seeing this at CM i loved it!! The best play i saw there! But all there plays are great! Its so funny cause now im working with some of the people if it in my school play! So Awesome!!
Honestly I NEVER thought this play should have been called thirteen the musical. thirteen year olds DONT act like this. it should be 16 the musical because 16 year olds act more like this. Im pretty sure if a middle school did this any parent wouldn't want there thirteen year old acting like this. Plus more highschools do it anyways!! Thirteen year olds arent thinking of getting drunk, and making out,and groping, and messing up friendships. But this production is how i think it should be!goodjob
♥Ashluv085♥ actually, the age range of the show is 12-17, I’m auditioning for it tomorrow and actually kids 13 years old think of that stuff, I’m 13 and I have but I won’t but still
Everyone who was in this show was 18 and younger. The actors who played Brett, Lucy, Patrice and Archie are all 15, Evan was 14, and Kendra was 16, so they stuck with a relatively young cast. I think the youngest actor was 12... It was a community theatre production so they had to work with whoever auditioned.
It's true that 13 year olds don't actually think like that but for the plotline to make sense (bar mitzvah) the characters need to be 13, plus it just looks more like they are totally unsure of who they are that way
@Shaybecca90 Actually, many productions of 13 use older students due to mature themes and some inappropriate language. Also, Middle school productions must be appropriate for younger children in the elementary grades while for high school and anything else as long as they give a warning it's fair game. Haters gonna hate.
Not saying anything bad about older teens performing in this show, cause in my version our Evan was 18, and he is amazing! But I can guarantee you none of the orginal broadway cast was 21. Liz and Delaney were 15 when they did the show, Eric was 17. Brynn Williams, who I have met, was 14, as was most of the cast, and some were 15. None of them were 21 I can guarantee you.
Personally I think this show needs to stay more original with an all teen cast , younger...It's more amazing when you have an amazingly talented cast that's so younge
brett's voice makes angels smile.
Love Brett's voice!

The girl playing kendra is so tone deaf i cant
She's a great Lucy :)
I love when their "frozen" and you can still see people moving
That was a great kiss... wow
How many years did they get held back?
where is ariana and liz ?
what did were you into at 13? Books?!
@born2bewild376
omfg, that's awesome. i'll have to show that to my director XD
I think everyone just looks really old, so people are questioning the age choices. my cast had several 15-16 yr olds with one person being 17.
This Brett is awesome. ^^ It's super quiet though.
@jysgirlful Think it's so you can see who is singing.

@ONELESSLONELYGIRLify wow obviously this isn't the broadway version it's on youtube so just look for it it's by broadwayboy100
1st row, Far left. Haha he looks soooooo interested!

@Shaybecca90 Bwahahah:) sooo true.
omg
Haha! I just noticed that at the "Penis on fire" part, Cassie is laughing!
they are like 20
look at brett’s mouth wide open when patrice is singing
Why do they have to stand up ?

Ahahahahahaha!!!
"He just set his penis on fire!!"
That was hilarious! :D
@rachaelxoxo97 SOOOO FLAT
@theaterlover127 And how old are you?
We never said it was bad.. we're just saying you all look too old.
They look a little old to be 13
thats what they kinda all talke about... trust me i would know..
am pretty sure I didn't look that way when I was 13..
I am a strait girl, but, if I were Brett, I would of taken Lucy over Kendra... lol
not really. People just make it a fake kiss but they are really supposed to kiss. They do on Broadway.
I just noticed that brett says that got his weiner set on fire. Lol.
did lucy really make out with brett? wtf?
WEIRD
the guy playing brett closed his eyes tight
but archie didn't
they actually kissed
Um, this Archie didn't look too shocked or panicky when he accidently kissed Brett. It made it not as funny
Nope they went Cheek to cheek to make it look real. ;)
Kendra is like dead
Kendra isn't just flat... she's just bad. Is she sick or something?
they r a little to old
It's suppose to be a fake....kiss......
they are such bad actors all of them
