    Perfect list🎉
Let me just add the 2 JJ Cale related albums which I quite enjoy: "The Road to Escondido" (2006) and "The Breeze" (2014) with friends like Mark Knopfler, Tom Petty...
The music from the film "Rush" (1992) has some great playing too😊

i have been a clapton fan all my life and grew up in the 80s and became a big fan, the thing i have with 80s stuff is its over produced its had all the heart and soul taken out but that was the 80s in general, love all his 60s and 70s output just great, i am a fan of his 2000s stuff when he revisits the blues like riding with king with bb king, the robert johnson albums, the road to escondido with jj cale, agree with live from madison square gardens stunning, one that got a panning but i love and backs up your theory of having to raise his game when playing with class play the blues with wynton marsalis from 2011 and joined on three tracks by taj mahal, the other is the soundtrack to life in 12 bars some stunning rareties from the 60s and 70s a must for any fan, as for the politics its all about the music for me and those 2000s albums i mentioned are wotth a listen cheers great video as you can tell im a bit of a fan

    My favorite Clapton albums
    1. 461 Ocean Boulevard
    2. Slow Hand
    3. The Road to Escondido
    4. Layla
    5. Pilgrim
    6. Backless
    7. There’s One In Every Crowd
    8. Eric Clapton debut
    9. Behind the Sun
    10. The Lady in the Balcony Lockdown Sessions
I totally disagree with you about his later solo career.
As much as I can appreciate his music with Cream, The Yardbirds, and Blind Faith, it’s his solo albums from the 70’s and 80’s I enjoy the most. I have almost all of those later albums on vinyl and they all have played countless times.
I guess we all connect to different music for different reasons.

man oh man, I used to have boxes and boxes of Rolling Stone back issues, way back in the day. But, haven't paid any attention to it in many years

great list, i like 'em all.
Also like his 1970 eponymous solo debut album. [After Midnight, Blues Power, etc]

The live album E.C. Was Here is one of my favorites. Also, there is a 2010 album titled Clapton that is very good.

"Don't want to discuss it" and "Only you know and I know" from Delaney and Bonnie Live on Tour absolutely BLISTER (worthy of the moniker "Slowhand"...). Clapton at his best. There's a reason Delaney says following the song, "we've never been received like this in our lives".
Another very good compilation is "History of Eric Clapton" - only available on vinyl (I believe) from Decca.

Exactly. He was affected adversely from taking the medical countermeasure in 2021 and talked about it. End of story

We should stop talking about Rolling Stone as a musical magazine. It's crap

Agreed! Cancelled my subscription to RS a decade ago. And that might have been too late...

If he had OD’d into the 27 club, he would have locked into top 5.
