Beautiful images. My French is a bit rusty and don't know if I understood correctly. So do you believe that the villagers don't interact much outdoors because there are no telephones or because they communicate on telephones? Romania has one of the best telecom and internet infrastructures and also one of the cheapest. Par exemple unlimited calls from 2 E/m, 5G internet, high speed fix internet (1000 Mb) from 4-5 Euro, available anywhere.
Most of the villages are empty because they either live in towns or are working in the west. Costs of living, to build a house or property taxes are much cheaper than most Europe. For example, with a minimum wage in the west they can afford to buy a good piece of land and make a 2 story villa or even a palace, with a quarter, up to half the money for a studio apartment in Germany. Property taxes are also much cheaper. In the villages they pay few euro a month.
So if you see them driving chariot with horses is because they love traditions and a simple peaceful life, which is also much cheaper than living in nearby towns. For that lifestyle they can also afford to live with less than 200 Euro / month, cultivate their own fresh vegies, etc.
Most Romanians also inherited a piece of land or houses in the rural areas, that's why about 96,8% of Romanians own their own house, the most property owners in the world. By comparison, in Spain and Italy home ownership is at around 75%, in France, US, UK at 65%, in Germany at 49%.
So probably to earn from 1,000 - 1,200 Euro per month in Romania is equivalent to 4-5,000 Euro in the west. The minimum/average incomes are constantly growing, towards the EU average, now being at 78%.
Romania is in top 3 preferences for those working online, because taxes are like 1-3%. Bucharest is the cheapest capital to live in the EU and also the 3rd richest capital in the EU. Above Madrid or Berlin.
There area other advantages, like safety, which is very important these days. Cheers (Subscribed)
