Justin Hayward wrote this song for Agnetha but Annie also recorded it later and he sang the background part in the studio with her. Great song, great singers.
KannD86 is correct. It is "The Angels Cry." Okay, so the first 40 seconds are "Moonlight Shadow," or I would definitely "like" this. The studio version features the songwriter, Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues, on backing vocals.
Great romantic song, love this and all the videos of the concert, Wish I had been there live for this show. Wish there was more video of her shows from this year, tour and band.
Just saw Agnetha's studio version, (I was unfamiliar with the song before now). It was nice. This is a live version, Agnetha's is studio-two different experiences.
Both in the studio version and here, Annie's performance is superb. However, this may be the ONLY instance in her career where someone else did a better version. In this case, the other version is by Agnetha Faltskog.
You can really see how much she's loving singing this tune...
anne is a goddess

I remember when it came out too. Just a nice song.

The video picks up at the end of "Moonlight Shadow" before launching in "angels".

I had the same problem but You can fnd it on TH-cam by typing in "The Angel's Cry"
This video is not 'The Angel's Cry' it is Annie's version of Maggie Riley's 'Moonlight Shadow'. Why the wrong title?shadow'.
Keep watching - end of Moonlight Shadow, then The Angels Cry.
Well, the poster is Japanese, so give him a break.
Much prefer Agnetha's original!
Yes! Agnetha's vocal is more refined.
there should not be an apostrophe in the title of this song.
Although Agnetha did well, I must respectfully disagree. I think Annie's studio version is far better.
