Yeah, I read the manga after I watched the anime many years ago and I was impressed with her anime counterpart for taking the damage, but equally impressed with her original vereion for managing to weave through gunfire. Roberta is the anime version of the T-1000 (especially with her Robert Patrick run) and she is one of the reasons I am scaroused by maids to this day.
1. Roberta took little to no damage in the manga. 2. Her taking damage and still going was more insane. 3. Revy's boots are ALWAYS untied and she fell for it anyways. 4. Roberta stayed running through Ritalin for her PTSD
like other commenters mentioned, the anime version of roberta was nerfed, canonically she took LITERALLY 0 DAMAGE(a few scratches aint shit), aaaand revy never has her shoes tied... and she fell for it anyway... edit: just so you know, a barret M82A1 weighs about 27lbs and has a signifficant amount of recoil when shot NORMALLY(prone, stock into the shoulder and assisted with a 2nd hand to lower said recoil)... her shooting it from whats basicly her WRIST just goes to show that her strength is absolutely bonkers... another not-so-fun fact, the belt buckle gun was an attempt by america to make hidden guns, but that never left the prototype phase due to the gun basicly shooting their own dicks off by accident...
Actually the belt buckle gun was designed in Nazi Germany and they weren't just prototypes, they worked. They made about 15 of them for high-ranking SS officers.
Fun fact: All the damage she took in the anime didn't happen at all in manga. They basically nerfed her in the anime.
