Hi Tracey. I am having a few friends over this morning and downloaded your video as we will be doing this very effect DIY as a fun girls morning. I have done plenty of these since watching it and following you and everyone has been asking, we will also do the cayenne pepper and other mixed herbs too. Happy New year btw. Stephanie from Cape Town.

    Enjoying your TH-cam chanel.
I have got lots of inspiration watching your channel.
I think you are amazing, very talented.
I just wanted to know if I've bought the right joint compound .
    It's called quick drying jointing.

I love your decoration. Coincidentally, I also use this technique. Born because I live in a country where you couldn't buy lime paint and similar products when I started. So I started experimenting myself. You can use all kinds of construction plaster. Such as various wall repair powders, adhesives for tiles, grout and even cement. Various products have different structures and colours. I also use it with various paints. It works great. You can also use other application techniques to get a different effect.

    • @RuralRefurb

I tried this with some of my spices and even though it's dry now, the spices keep flaking off. I made sure to rub them in while it was still wet, so I don't know what I did wrong.
