I stayed here a few years ago. It was a great place. It was a little more green when we went but I’m sure that depends a lot on whether it’s the wet or dry season.

I don’t remember a particular lobby bar ar this resort. There is a common shared on one of the higher floors above the restaurant area that we were drinking at one night.
We didn't get a direct transport from the airport like 99% of people do, we did the backpacker thing and made our way through a couple bus routes from Liberia Airport > Liberia > La Cruz > The Resort. It was a process but that's what the content is about!
Thank you for this video, it's exactly what I was looking for. I'm curious if you found preferred club was worth it? Also, was the weather way too hot in April? I heard the temperatures can go up to about 40 Celsius and there's no breeze.
I will say this part of Costa Rica is the Dry Rainforest vs the more-south Wet Rainforest, meaning its mostly dry heat which feels not as pleasant for me personally but I'm sure some people like that! Also, the brick pathways at this resort get extremely hot on your bare feet so keep that in mind. The weather overall was not too hot as we found shade or AC often at the resort. Walking around the town of La Cruz just outside the resort however is not so luxurious and I would recommend sunscreen (especially if you're a gringo like me!) haha The preferred club is a nice extra icing on the cake if you can afford it. It gives you a few perks including being able to go inside the Preferred Club Lounge with all the top shelf liquor. I think different resorts offer minor differences in Preferred Club benefits...always ask about booking a cabana for a day too!
Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (ramps? golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (is. fromroom to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much h, Steve S.
From what I remember they are 'ADA compliant' and have access areas for wheelchairs and other stuff. These resorts try very hard to accommodate and make your stay the best possible experience. Reach out to them via email and ask!

You may be able to make a special request, these resorts are extremely accommodating.

There were plenty of kids there. There is another family pool up on the way to the restaurant area that hosted more kids as well.
