    Huge thanks to Mike Stringer from Spiritbox for showing us his Jackson Guitars and Aristides Guitars. Super easy to get really low tuned djenty riffs sounding tight when you're using Fishman Fluence pickups, Evertune and other modern specs!

    Just did the same thing to my guitar with the tone and volume knob. There was a little bit of missing paint where the pot was removed. If you’re standing a few feet backyou can’t tell, but I could see it when I was playing the guitar.
    For a simple fix, I took a number two gauge thin silicone flared earring and put it in there. Fixed everything in two seconds and cost me less than 5 bucks.

    8:38 it’s not the bass wood that makes it muddier it’s the shorter scale length and the thicker strings.
    I’ve tried drop F and F# in 26.5 , 28 and 29.75 scale and the only thing that changes the sound is the scale length and being able to use lighter strings on the longer scales.
    Love your music btw, not trying to troll or be mr. "Well Achtually"

      @@burneraccounthandle he did mention a bit after that the Aristides were such different guitars, that they might actually sound a bit different? I don’t have 2 months salary to spend on one though so i can’t know for sure.

    • @thisguy2973
      @thisguy2973 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I use lighter strings on a 7 string at 25.5 and drop down to G. Very spanky sounding, but I’m also using alder.
      Another thing to mention is that while the Aristides has no wood, they DO refer to the synthetic materials used are made to be dense and stiff but not too stiff because it affects the way the “tone material” resonates the guitar.
      Finally, the Aristides and Dinky Pro Evertune are the same scale length, so they wouldn’t sound different due to that.

    Those Aristedes guitars are truly unique - possibly one of the very best guitars you can ever play. But Keyan you live un Australia - so where is your Ormsby? Now with your status I would think you could get one; although I would imagine that you could be sponsored by Jackson - I love Jacksons as well, but I have one of those (It is truly AWESOME) so the Ormsby headless 7 string guitar is like the holy grail to me - one day I might get one if I am lucky!
    And congrats on all your success over the past couple years! Truly impressive and you still seem humble - that is awesome, I hope that is true and real. I have been watching you since you started and I was even one of your Patreons for a while (financial issues have kept me from keeping up... oh well easy come easy go...) but if you ever get one to review and you wanted to send it to one of your fans I would not mind!

    The middle position on his Jackson is a single coil. If you look at the specs on that guitar, positions 2-4 are single coil. The pickups have 3 different voices that are selectable with the tone knob, so it's kind of odd he removed it (wonder if it's just defaulted into modern humbucker mode).
