- Not sure how to open the door to replace the filter on a Honeywell Home F100 Media Air Cleaner? This video is for you!
Also notice that not all media air filters of the same size will fit! I tried a Nordic Air 20x25x4 filter, and it won't fit my Honeywell 20x25x4 media air cleaner (Model #FC100A1037). Be sure to check the exact measurements before buying a replacement.
Also note the air flow direction before replacing the filter.

I usually write a date of change on mine before closing her up.
Thank you!
Excellent video!
Had this same issue. Just got the Honeywell brand, hoping it helps. Thanks!
Anyone else notice that the foam gasket doesn't seal the opening on both sides of the filter? This means air can bypass the filter by the door.
Do you have to turn the furnace off before changing the filter?
Thanks for showing the nordic brand doesnt fit.
Dumb question I’m sure but if my hvac system has this filter do I still need filters at the start of my return ducts also?
Nope, you either use the start attic filter OR the individual room return. We were told with our new system not to use both due to airflow restrictions.
@@xSensu dang, I’m using both 🫣
Mine has a rubber hole cover that stopped me from opening it but got it. I feel so stupid for this lol
Mine won’t open for some strange reason
There are magnets holding it in place. Try pulling harder.
Engineer of All Trades I just moved into the home and the previous owners just installed it I’m assuming. They sealed it on accident when they installed it. I had to pull pretty hard but now after unsealing it that’s not an issue any longer. Thanks!
@@miguelmonroy8286yeah I’m in a brand new home and they put too much “pookie” around the door. I had to cut some of it to get mine off.
Nice music!
