Thank you so much for this video! I have gained so much information from your channel today, you have explained it with so much clarity! I am going make my own DIY specific gravity scale today, I really hope things are well with you now and you make more videos for the channel. 👍🏼

Thank yo so much for sharing this. I was looking for a set of EPDM rubber kit but often they don`t specify the material. Now I might be able to test what I have if I need to. Thanks!

useful and simple method. But what needs to be taken into account is the fillers (carbon black) which can change the density/specific gravity remarkably?

    Great video mate.
If i provide a link can you tell me what type of rubber it is cause i want to replicate it.
It is a tool being use for triggerpoints in muscles to get nice and deep.
    Thanks

Please, how is sulfuric acid dissolved in latex in order to vulcanize liquid latex materials for dipping molds?

Thanks you so much~ I really appreciated it.
Sorry for a very late reply, our company was closed due to global uncertainty. I will make this channel to personally own, it might take me a few months. Thanks for your support :)

Is not a 70su ring the same stretch in every material ?

  • @WaschyNumber1

Buy a similar O-ring I the same dimensions and material of fkm, nbr ect and weight them and than weight the O-ring that you don't know if it have the nearest weight to one of the runners, should it not be the same material?
So you could have a refferenc in a box, always for testing. 🤔
Or do I miss things, I have anyway no clue about this stuff I'm only fascinated by o-rings and stuff but I have problems to figure out what sizees are suitable to fit a seal sometimes, specially they are many nany different size variations in cross sections and diameters and if a slightly different cross section change would make a big difference in pcp hgp 300 bar safety stuff, that the air don't go out ect.

Dear sir, we are manufacturing rubber coupler for mixture grinder using nitrile rubber, my question is can we disolve cured nitrile rubber in any chemical, we have to disolve nitrile rubber just to recover brass insert from our rejected components, we have tried acetone but as rubber absorbes acetone thats cost to much, any cost effective solution.

Why not weight the O-ring normally? 🤔 I don't understand this in water putting stuff to get the weight.

Great video. I don't understand why you have to use the hanger, however. Why is it important to keep the ring from touching the glass? Can anyone explain it to me? Thanks.

We use hanger to demonstrate that you can use household item to achieve really great result. If the o-ring touch the glass, the weight will not be accurate as water weight.

Hold the sample over a flame until it just begins to smoke, then smell it with a very shallow sniff, so you don't poison yourself. Every major elastomer type has a characteristic smell. Just like polymers.

Destructive. Fine if you got many samples though.

Is ther a list how the different rubber have to smell to identify the this way?
