WHAT A LOCATION MAN!! Pure Gold... The 80s / 90s Look - nothing destroyed.... The Neon Lights :-o Amaziiiing... It's a shame about the cinema :( Thanks for the Video... Greetings from Germany
I can imagine how amazing this theater must’ve been when it was open. I still go to the theater to see movies. I saw The Iron Claw today and the movie is excellent. I like to sit up top to the right when I go see a movie.
Looks to only be abandoned for about a year. Starry (which was rebranded and tweaked Sierra Mist) launched in Jan 2023. That is likely why the theater is still in pretty good condition. I hold close my years of working in megaplexes and small theaters in every position including projectionist. I've also watched them close and all the contents ripped out and the place gutted and it still sends chills down my spine and saddens me that these wonders of our youth are slowly going the way of the old Drive In's.
I saw Toy Story 3 last month for my nephews birthday party. It was in our small town theater. They charge $5 per person on a regular night. We go often.
Man I miss being a projectionist. I didn't realize how much I would love the job. They hired me off of the street too. (Usually you have to move up from a floor position first). Starting movies for everyone. Not being bothered by hovering managers and supervisors(although they would randomly walk through to check on you). Using walkie talkies to communicate with employees. The isolation from everyone there was peaceful. Now my job is gone due to technology. Concession stands have turned into mini bars. Movies were better back then. It has all changed for the worse.
Movie theaters are so important to me and how I was raised.. and how so many others grew up and what they experienced. It’s so incredibly disheartening seeing places I and others care so much about just forgotten about. And with this one having all its lights on dust just visible and it being so clean it almost makes it even more sad . Somehow more sad than seeing it destroyed? Its odd. I’ve never been there but I feel every oz of nostalgia
Do you still go to the movies? I know I don’t. I always did when I was young and I also took my kids a lot when they were growing up. But nowadays we have the comforts of our own movie rooms at home and it’s free. Plus our own food is so much less expensive. And the movie theatres just don’t put out good movies anymore. It’s sad, but reality!
I was a protectionis for Edwards in the early 2000s. The reason why some screens were wider is because of the aspect ratio. Some films were in 1.85:1 or 2.39.:1 and many others. IMAX is 1.43:1 to 1.90:1. Looks like they converted to digital projectors. Film projectors had platters. The platter is a film trasport system were you lay the print on. They had an infrastructure of pulleys, so you can thread the film into the projector. Unfortunately, this theater was not an IMAX one. Great video
I was a projectionist too and i loved the job. The platter system and having to clean the purple residue with like rags that would build up by running the films through. Opening the shutter for the light after the automated preview machine would shut off. Man it was an experience. I Was running 24 theaters at once for some hours. I put the wrong movie on ONCE. It was a hectic schedule and some platters had double films. Got mixed up once in the year i worked there.
The theater I worked at was an IMAX theater, which had 21 screens. I also had to manage 20 screens at once, and it was so stressful. I also threaded the wrong print because of the two different prints on the platters. Thankfully, it was on a different day. Unfortunately, I never got to experience the IMAX side of it. I also loved it, and the only reason why I moved on was because I couldn't pass on a job opportunity, and because of that, it opened up so many more. Those we definitely good times
This is a nice movie theater!!!! I really hate that people randomly spray the fire extinguishers all over the place for no reason at all!!!! That’s crazy and literally makes no sense!!!! Thanks for sharing this awesome location with us!!!! It’s really sad that nobody is trying to do anything with it..
I used to work at a Movie Theater in Osage Beach Missouri. When I was a Freshman, and a Sophomore and summer after Sophomore year. Loved it. Brought back memories.. It started as a three plex. Then changed to 5 plex. But it's closed now. Sad to see!
This brings me back to the 70's when I went to see Tommy at the Cinerama Dome in Los Angeles. The dome has been closed for several years, but is planning to reopen in 2025. It'd be fantastic if you could get inside to show what it looks like today, before the reopening. 👍😎✌🗽🎄
@@lakephillipMy brother took me when I was 15 in 1975, and it was quite a memory, not just for the movie. Driving home in the wee hours my brother fell asleep at the wheel! I had to grab it, and wake him up as he's careening across the freeway. We made it home fine, but I'll always remember that night, not just for the movie! 👍😎✌🗽
I would love to go to one of those. Just watching a movie made for them in "smile-vision" is a neat experience, in person would be incredibly immersive.
Ayyyyeeeeee love a good Warren shout-out! If that room at 17:04 is the biggest theater you've been in, then you need to go to an IMAX movie at Moore Warren. So based on the style of fabric in each auditorium in the video, the style of neon, Pepsi products, and the overall architecture, I'm guessing this was a Regal, I absolutely love the look of the late 90s ones. Since you're familiar with the OKC area, the AMC Crossroads 16 at I-35/I-240 was built less than a year earlier and was originally a Regal, and looks very very similar on the inside to this one, right down to the crazy neon and lobby. That location just closed permanently two weeks ago, so if you're from the area you should check it out (maybe give it a few months so that it's more abandoned lol).
I used to love going to the movies. That’s not the case anymore, but seeing that crazy carpeting made me long for those days. Thanks for bringing us the video. Keep up the good work and have a good new year ahead.
So much of my youth is literally going to rot, it was nice to see one theater that is still in good condition. I wish they would come back in fashion, they made for a great date night or just friends going out for an evening of dinner and a movie. I do like that we were able to see it with the lights on, but it’s crazy to still have them on. It was a cool explore.
I absolutely LOVE ALL of your videos!!! We watch them on out 65 inch tv lolol. Love the places you go to. I always wondered what happens to abandoned places and sometimes it’s so sad to see people’s belongings just left behind especially family photos.
Thanks so very much for this video!!!! I absolutely LOVE the neon lights!!!! I am so sad this theater closed!!!! It is absolutely beautiful!!!! The last movie I saw in the theater was The Sopranos and it wasn’t good. I went for my nephew. The chairs were awesome but for some reason the theater wasn’t as loud as it should be. I wouldn’t go back to the theater unless I knew it was an excellent movie!!! The tickets are just an outrageous price!!!! I did LOVE this theater!!! I would pay the high cost for this theater!!! Just beautiful!!!! Thanks again for the video!!!! Take care and Happy New Year!!!! 👍🏻😃☀️🎊🎉
I love going to the movies when I'm in the Philippines, they have a app that dims and silences your cell and you can order all kinds of food and they bring it to you, all the chairs are huge and each isle is big enough for a wheelchair to get through.
Love that place they should clean it up make it digital redo some of it and open it back up such a waste for real . Great video it's wild the power is still on . Somebody is paying that huge bill still wow . Really should be reopened for real. I wonder if the movies are still in the projector rooms . Be cool see what's in there .
Well BigBankz I didn’t know you were gonna be in my hood. If I had known I would have had you over for a good home cooked meal!! This theater closed a yr ago due to bankruptcy! Their prices were ridiculous as compared to other theaters. For those of you wondering why some of the seats so close those seats were almost double the price. They reclined all the way back. Been here like hundreds of times. Only very recently have they boarded up the front windows. Some idiots and low life’s started dumping garbage, old furniture, tires and other junk all around the building. Thank goodness the local county took quick action and hauled it away, hopefully it wont continue to happen. Yes Bankz they often played IMAX. There are still very active business’s attached to this theatre as well as a small strip mall up front. I read Regal was like 10 Billion $$ in debt.
Thanks for sharing, loved the 90s neon lights. It's sad the fate of theaters, streaming is great, but nothing replaces the feel of sharing a theater and comfy seats , smell of popcorn...maybe someone will do something with it.
Cool place. It's interesting that there's no vandalized places in there. Besides fire extinguishers being sprayed around the place has been remarkably preserved. I was hoping to see movie projectors but someone did a thorough gutting of the place. Good find
Yes, it looks like it had digital projection, not film, but the projectors are gone! But the sidewall speakers are still there, I wonder about the behind the screen speakers. Looks like the audio amps have been pulled from the racks too. That's a small I max screen. The one I worked on in Great Amercia theme park was 76ft tall and 96ft wide!
I watched Black Hawk Down in one of those types of theaters with the extra speakers, louder sound, and bigger screens. I am a combat vet and had to walk out after 30 minutes just to catch my breath.
I went December 24th with my family, (it’s our family tradition on Christmas Eve), and we saw Migration. I went back on December 30 alone to watch Anyone but you. I like sitting in the middle of the row somewhere in the middle of the theater.
Is it common for electric to be left on with commercial properties ? Last movie I saw was the Eras Tour. My childhood theater was empty for a long time but it’s since been purchased by flagship and completely renovated so it’s cool it’s back to life again. Heated reclining couch like seats. Bathrooms are still somewhat retro which is cool. And really good prices compared to bigger theaters like AMC etc.
Nice video still in good shape. Last movie I saw with my grandson and son was the new godzilla movie. We sit in the back row because that's where I like to sit. Of course my grandson reminded me I saw godzilla in black and white. 😂 Thanks for the video!
Last movie I saw at a theatre was Lone Survivor or Unbroken , think it was Unbroken . Awesome movie and even better book based on a true story. Lone Survivor was an awesome movie as well.
Last night I went with my niece to see Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. Very good. Also you ought to take your girlfriend and the little one and go to Ft Worth to the Ft Worth Museum of Science and History. While there visit the Omni Theater they have. That is a very unique experience. Sit somewhere in the middle to get the true experience. I went the 1st time when I was 8. I still love it even though I'm quickly approaching 50. Great video. Loved seeing the behind the scenes. Can't wait for the next one.
Definitely vandalism. This makes me so very sad. My Dad used to fix the old projectors bitd. I miss those times. Always so fun to go with friends. It makes my heart hurt that movies have gone home. 😢😢💔💔
It’s sad to see movie theaters disappearing. I remember when I was a boy going to the movies was one of the greatest privileges on Earth, I’ll never forget the memories formed going to those places. Movies were more than entertainment, they were portals to other worlds.
Exactly it's about the experience. I used to like watching movies after it was closed as they could actually use the sound system. The larger theater in our town got a big audio upgrade which you could experience for about 1 day my friend that was a manager said. A few people griped so it got set to basically be a waste of money quite a large amount no different from the old one. However after hours you could actually hear the little surround effects and details.
Speak for yourself. As for me, it was a life changer when I purchased my projector, almost 10 years I've had it and still going strong. In these past 10 years my theater going days have been extremely limited
The Warren Theatre you talked about in the OKC area was modeled after the original Warren Theaters in Wichita, Kansas. They’ve since been sold to Regal Theaters.
I went to the location of the abandoned movie theater in Dayton after big bankz explored it cause I live right by it, and he wasn’t lying it is torn down now.
I can't remember the last time I went to the movies. I know it was before DVD came out. Once Redbox came out, it was cheaper to rent movies than to go out to the movies. We don't even rent movies anymore. We don't watch much TV at all anymore. We watch more TH-cam than anything else. I'm surprised there wasn't more damage inside that movie house. People usually tear things up in abandoned places.
It must be the location and area that killed it. There are IMAX's where I live and they've been going strong for DECADES now. I even think they built a couple of new ones in the past few years. Did you say where this is located? I don't remember. I've never been to one, but I hear they are amazing for watching nature films, space films, and underwater films. You feel like you are there, so I've been told. They must have plans for it, if they keep the lights and ac on.
Last movie in a theatre i saw was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Real nice, its in great condition. Too bad the stupid kids had to spray the fire extinguishers. We are very glad you are back Bankz. Happy new year to you and your family. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very nice theater. It is a shame that these areas can't be repurposed. If costs so much to go out to movies any more. It was so much fun to be able to go in a group. It is a shame that so much creeps you out. You need to stop watching horror movies. Your letting it get into your real life. 😁 I think all of this is sad and yet facinating to be here. Thanks for the adventure. Blessings and stay healthy and safe. 😁✨
That theater room, if it was a private theater, would be great for the viewing of a brewers game, the surround sound would have been awesome to listen to the narrative of a baseball game. I would have a field day with that sound system lol.
It's amazing that a place like this is just standing there in such a good condition. I've seen other abandoned theater videos and they've been vandalised and are full of bird poop...
Yeah this place is impressive because most places this old and abandoned tend to maybe have half of this stuff working yet there are still some areas of this building that looks clean and most of the lights still work they could easily restore this place to it's former glory not to mention this also shows how cool going to the movies used to be or just going out in general because now everyone has their face stuck to their phones. It's to bad really but i do think that eventually people will get tired of not going out much and they'll get over their phones to do other things again even if it's not to the same extent.
This exact Regal theatre complex exists here in my area where I live. The only difference is the Regal here has 20 screens instead of 22. These theatres weren't built for Imax. The largest auditoriums have what is called RPX digital sound enhancement. The Regal near me is still in operation, but who knows how long it will stay in business? The theatre interiors at my Regal are identical to the one in this video except all the auditoriums are red in color.
I still go to the movies ,the last movie I saw was elemental with my kids ,it was a half decent movie, don't have a preference for sitting just not very front. Sad the pandemic didn't help with business. Lately there haven't been any movies that I would like to see ,hopefully some great one's this year
I don't mean this in a bad way at all!! But I'm trying to watch this and your voice is almost hypnotic and I keep drifting off. I mean I am sleepy anyways 😂. Nice explore and cool video bro
The last movie I saw in theaters was the 2022 re-release of Avatar. It was crazy, since the entire theater was next to empty! Probably about as empty as an operating theater could be; it was a skeleton crew and almost no customers showed up. I was literally 1 of 3 people in the actual theater room! Got a good deal for Real-D 3D with a large popcorn and soda included! It was actually a pretty cool experience! Before the pandemic, probably the last movie I saw in theaters was IT Part 2.
absolutely beautiful. I hope some cool shows or movies film here before it's gone! It's such a timecapsule. Stranger Things would fit right in here lmao
You’re not supposed to be able to hear the buzzing of electricity that clearly. If those lights are making that loud of noise, they are on their way to the land of blown ballasts. They could be about to pop and go dark.
As an avid movie-goer this is sad to see, but I am so glad that you posted this video. This theatre needs to be brought back to life. Fantastic space!!
Thanks for sharing. It’s So sad that they are letting this go to waste ☹️
It kinda breaks my heart tbh🙁
Why would they not use it? Makes no sense.

Where is this?
Where is it located?. He didn`t say
He’s not going to say where this cuz of people will go in there to destroy it

Looks to only be abandoned for about a year. Starry (which was rebranded and tweaked Sierra Mist) launched in Jan 2023. That is likely why the theater is still in pretty good condition. I hold close my years of working in megaplexes and small theaters in every position including projectionist. I've also watched them close and all the contents ripped out and the place gutted and it still sends chills down my spine and saddens me that these wonders of our youth are slowly going the way of the old Drive In's.
I just said that. Then seen your comment.
It's in the description
Actually, my town still has a retro drive in that is open. Not related to the post. Just thought it would be cool to share.

Love your videos and glad to see your adventures as well. Thanks for posting this too. Have a nice day now.
This was a very cool episode
i bet that was fun going through the okd theatre
thank you big bankz
Im so freaking happy are little theatre made it through and is still running in are little town
Thanks for sharing and I have not seen a show since mama mea sat in the middle where the railing is to put my feet up 😊😊.
Furthest back seats in the middle are my granddaughter and my favorite seats. The last 2 movies I saw saw in the theater was Oppenheimer and Cabrini.
It’s sad to see movie theaters disappearing. I remember when I was a boy going to the movies was one of the greatest privileges on Earth, I’ll never forget the memories formed going to those places. Movies were more than entertainment, they were portals to other worlds.
Wow it looks amazing and so sad to see it abandoned ❤❤
Thank you for posting , have a safe and blessed New Years stay safe 🙏 😊
Last time I went to the movies was in 2004 went to see van helsing movie its been awhile I hope you have safe happy new year eve.
I absolutely love seeing movies at the theatre! Doesn't compare to streaming movies at home, and I have a 120" 1080p projector setup.
Wow what a Great Theater!!👍🏻👍🏻
I went to the location of the abandoned movie theater in Dayton after big bankz explored it cause I live right by it, and he wasn’t lying it is torn down now.
They ought to revamp that theatre, Maybe Regal could buy it! The Regals my girlfriend and I go to are super busy!
Those server racks are huge! Stores the movies in digital format.
That theater room, if it was a private theater, would be great for the viewing of a brewers game, the surround sound would have been awesome to listen to the narrative of a baseball game. I would have a field day with that sound system lol.
The Cornell Theater I grew up with in the 60-70's was in Burbank 1400 Seats one screen beauty
It's amazing that a place like this is just standing there in such a good condition. I've seen other abandoned theater videos and they've been vandalised and are full of bird poop...
Nice! It hasn’t been totally vandalized… yet. This will be the sad future of many a movie theater soon 😢
So sad. It's way too beautiful to be abandoned
So cool you should make it go again.
This was a fun one 💪
I still go to the movies ,the last movie I saw was elemental with my kids ,it was a half decent movie, don't have a preference for sitting just not very front. Sad the pandemic didn't help with business. Lately there haven't been any movies that I would like to see ,hopefully some great one's this year
I don't mean this in a bad way at all!! But I'm trying to watch this and your voice is almost hypnotic and I keep drifting off. I mean I am sleepy anyways 😂.
Nice explore and cool video bro
Wow that was very interesting ty ))Happy New Year
i had a movie theater close near by me recently and i thought this was it LOL. pretty similar but this one is quite a bit cooler
I love going to the theatre getting a soda and large popcorn
You should go to my old movie theater that shut down in 2022. Regal Great Escape Gravois Bluffs, Missouri
Looks like some special person went into every room and played with the fire extinguisher.
Good stuff! 👍 Look forward to your videos!
I remember the last movie I saw was 18 yrs ago, the Skeleton Key. I like to sit in the middle of the theater.
The last movie I saw in theaters was the 2022 re-release of Avatar.
It was crazy, since the entire theater was next to empty!
Probably about as empty as an operating theater could be;
it was a skeleton crew and almost no customers showed up.
Godzilla 2014 was the last movie I saw in a theater. Watching this is sad. Theater popcorn...miss it!
The Sound system is still there. I wonder if they are going to re open it again soon. Those speakers are super expensive.
You’re not supposed to be able to hear the buzzing of electricity that clearly. If those lights are making that loud of noise, they are on their way to the land of blown ballasts. They could be about to pop and go dark.
