My brother has the 30-30 Marlin for his truck gun. He lives in Cassy Co. KY. Silly boy shoots turkey with it at 100yrd. That was an ideal shot for you. I wouldn't ask for anything better. Did you have to eat the deer for Thanksgiving cause you wanted to,or because your wife seen the blood in the trunk when she took the kids to visit grandma. They don't make a car fragrance that covers up whitetail blood when it gets warm. Believe me. I know. Well may as well work on a extra doe tag if it gets to cold at home. @TheChiefSmokem There's no greater place to be on any day than in a stand or a blind. Up until I was around 45. I eat ,sleep,worked and breath hunting and fishing. I get out and hunt arrowheads and just watch now.
