Nice! Welcome to the sport! So yes, long lines have a weight at each end and then they’re attached to a main line with shorter, smaller line spread apart on the main line with gang clips and swivels where the decoys connect to
Love it! I copied your other set ups exactly lol What are your thoughts on motion for long line layout hunting? do you ever add a floating mojo, a squirter, or anything?
Awesome! Happy I can help, others have helped me along the way. We use floating spinners and spinners on poles generally, I also have a Lucky Duck Agitator that I’ll throw in when there’s little to no wind. I have a snow goose flag that I’ve used as well and that’s helped too
The agitator has been my favorite, I’m always 50/50 on spinners, but birds love water motion so I’ve tried to keep that. Agitator, ripplers, jerk string all seem to finish birds the best
Usually no less than 4, we’ve had as many as 16 out. I would say most of the time we use 6 and then fill in with singles so somewhere around 8-10 dozen total
New hunter here….so do long lines have 2 weights…one at either end of the line? That’s what it sounded like, but just wanted to make sure.
