The engagement party the same night they got engaged is NOT the time to throw a pity party for yourself. People in the house were rallying around this delusion, it’s no wonder the couple left. @@future288ify yea I can’t speak on anyone’s journey and whether I agree with “Cali sober” as it was always referred to I won’t say whether I agree or disagree because I think it depends on that person. If you’re referring to the Maya* situation that was wayyy before all of this. If not I can’t speak on it. I just hate having moments that can uplift a person basically crush them and it’s my opinion that Carl being able to know when you need to leave a situation is major vs lashing out. I’m more taken aback by the lack of awareness by the house because there’s so much vitriol.

I agree! Carl knew to have an escape plan if he started feeling the stress and anxiety. He has to do that because those pare the things that could make an alcoholic relapse. So it is 100% imperative that he take care of that. I love that Lindsay gets it and is supportive.
Ive been hard on Carl and Lindsay but I think they’re handling this situation reasonably well. I think they outgrew the show. And Danielle is either in love with Lindsay or needs some therapy.

At first Danielle seemed to genuinely be a concerned friend. But if your best friend is happy with a man that she’s known for several years just be happy for her! She reacted negatively when Carl told her he was shopping for rings. So why tf would he tell you anything? & then on top of that she was talking shit about her best friend to women that obviously don’t f*ck with her. Paige always had beef with Lindsay for no reason, so that was dumb. & THEN on top of that, she threw a temper tantrum & had a fit because she wasn’t informed about the proposal. Best friend or not Carl wasn’t obligated to tell her sh*t. As a best friend she should’ve just been happy. True friends want to see their friends happy. Period. If my friend talked shit about my relationship at my engagement party, I wouldn’t want to be friends with them either. The women in this show do too much. It seems like Paige finds every opportunity to talk shit about Lindsay. Mya is nosy af, agrees with whatever Paige says, keeps inserting herself in shit like she’s not still new to the group. & I love Amanda but she says one thing until she’s around Paige. Kyle is not being a good friend. Telling them that their taking a time out after Carl explained that he needed for his mental health and that it caused more harm is crap. Kyle should have Carl’s back not the vacation in bed crew. Did we forget that Carl had to go to the hospital a few weeks prior?! Perhaps he should have told Danielle and bedtime bears that they should allow Carl and Lindsay space because the house is kind of toxic right now and also tell the petty pillow posse to try and support them. It is not Carl and Lindsay’s job to try and make the house feel better. Their fee-fees shouldn’t have been hurt to begin with!

I’m watching season 1 and it’s really just confirming how much I don’t like either of these two characters. They should have stayed away with their real friends.
I’m not a fan of Lindsey. I don’t believe she knows how to be a friend but just used Danielle as a sounding board for failed relationships and Danielle is a doormat. Carl is exactly what Lindsey called him in season 6 after Sarah was no longer talking to him- someone who is only actualized when they are in a real relationship. She basically called him a boy who needs a girl to be ok. Though, she is the same side of that coin.
I rewatched as well and I can’t remember her name, but she only did the one season and she was Lindsey’s friend & roommate. She had the exact conversation that Danielle tried to have with her and it pretty much went the same way.

She didn’t make an impression on me until she called Lindsey out on her selfishness and when she blew up over Lindsey saying she was fired and trying to kick her out of the house.

I love Carl and Lindsey but most of the house guest don’t like them. No matter what they do there are members of the house who will always judge whatever they do.
Danielle needs a couch and a happy relationship. She is way to invested in Carl and Lindsey relationship. One moment she saids she doesn’t want to be there if they get engaged next weekend but when she found out that it happened that day she was mad that Carl did not tell her. I wish Danielle was more invested in her own relationship that’s not doing well.
Danielle is acting the way she is because of something Lindsay told her about Carl and/or their relationship. Lindsay doesn’t want Carl or anyone to know what she said, so she’s pulling away from Danielle and their friendship.
Look, Carl doesn't owe anyone anything and his mental health is absolutely a priority. Howeverrrrrrr. The way he and Linday left and then returned definitely did not help ease the tension they wanted to avoid. I'm shocked they chose to come back, seems like no good was going to come from it.

I'm sure his mental health is very important to her, it's just LESS important than maintaining her lifestyle as a reality TV personality / influencer.
