I had started a re-read months ago and only got as far as Part 2, so i agree the interludes really took the wind out of my sails. Granted Ive read more Fantasy since then and know a lot of Sanderson's choices don't align firmly with my taste. Same! I find Dalinar dull as dishwater. I don't like Sanderson's humour generally, so Shallan's parts don't stand out to me as especially bad.
