This has to be one of the best videos that show us a skill set that is nearly obsolete. Go back 70 years and you can find people who like these manufacturers in a cottage industry, I’m really impressed by their skilled workers who have made their wares (brass pots) for many years and many thousands of them, I love the fact that simple sheet brass is brought into the workshop of a stock length and the workers will bending the outside wall via rollers, a lady puts an acidic flux onto the adjoining edges and another worker will (very precisely) weld of the mating face without the need for filler rod, this into itself takes so so much practice to master, as brass being a alloy that is not forgiving when to much heat is transferred into the metal for to long, it will just melt away! I’m really impressed by this guy’s skill, I’ve been welding for over 30 years and would struggle to achieve the finish that this guy has done! The fellow who is on the roller bevelling the two angles of the top piece, is effectively shrinking and stretching the brass without ripping the brass apart, again a shill you don’t see much of, then the guy who is shaping up the bottom piece gives careful shaping up to the correct size. There is the gentleman who was plenishing the area of the seam welding to reshape any high spots. Then we have the gentleman who is finally cutting a very fine amount of outer skin to a uniformed finish, then he finally polished to a saleable item. Altogether 6 skills that make a great looking product, thank you very much for showing us your great workmanship. These skills are really hard to find people who are able to do them efficiently, we used to call them “tin bashers” and they could make anything from flat sheet materials that makes specialised ductwork down to small and medium sized parts for car’s, trucks and general engineering. Sadly this type of skill set is rarely seen as many items are computer made, with little ways to replace rather than repair. These are my own thoughts and I’d rather not enter a discussion where there are these skill etc. Hope everyone keeps safe and looks after family. All of the best wishes Phil 🇬🇧

I Enjoy Watching these Wonderfully Skilled Men and Woman Working in Their Crafts. These Artisan's Product Their Products for Sale with as Little Time as Possible with the Minimum Amount of Tooling as Possible. What a Pleasure it is to see such Craftsmanship. Although I would do things a Little Different than what they are doing like, Wearing Shoes and Safety Glasses. I wouldn't Cut Down the Brass as they do. I would just Polish for the most Part. The Welders are Top Notch in Their Craft. I Wouldn't do, really anything different. Thanks for the upload.

Brass instruments if you want quality have to be crafted with hand and not by welding, turning, milling, polishing etc. by machines, like what these people are doing.

These are not traditional, this is duplicate. Original brass vessels were not made by welding. They were formed out of plate and with hand.
Yes, you can now call them machine made traditional vessels. Just like you don't call a cotton fabric produced in power looms as Handloom khadi.
Actually I was surprised to buy a coper vessel at a cheap price. Initially I thought it may not be pure copper, but tested it and found it to be Copper. However later I found all the welding seams and on calculating the cost I found the manufacturer has much bigger margin of profit then making it in a traditional way.
Don't fall prey to such gimmicks.
Definitely we need Make in India, but not a Duplicate India. Then we will lose our face.

@@MrRohansolanki Thanks for your interest in the subject. Indian civilization is one of the oldest in our world and we have enough evidence to prove that we had artisans who had the ability to produce intricate articles using almost all the metals and their alloys available to us. Even before the industrial revolution.
Coming to the above video what I had mentioned was about Copper, which is a basic metal unlike Brass which is an alloy. What I intended in comment was that traditional methods of making vessels is by hand forming unlike the use of welding and other methods which are industrial methods which are at times harmful to health.
