    Very nice flight in the wind. Thanks for showing the video from your nice field and I wish it was warmer here in Chicago. Great job with the descriptions of the Reflex gyro and how it works with the Spektrum radio similar to the Safe and AS3X.

    I just ordered one for myself. Finally just came back in stock. I’m putting a AR631 in mine. Flying on both 3 s and 4s . Then upgrade the ESC to a Avian 60Amp ESC some day like I did my Maule M7.

      I agree yank out the reflex and run with a AR631. What I wish is that FMS would offer with or without reflex.

      @Fat Guy Flies RC I wish that was an option too

    Have got the same one. Love the STOL characteristics 😍

    That’s what I’m replacing my Sport Cub 1300mm with by Hobby zone. I’ll upgrade the servos and maybe even paint it too. 😊

      The solid white wing on top needs some numbers or something.

    Nice plane and flight with the PA-18 1300mm. That plane sold out so quickly everywhere, I am sure when it comes back in stock it will do it again. While I am waiting I will just have to fly my PA-18 1700mm.

      Well the big brother is awesome too!

    I swapped to the bighorn prop, 12x6.5 eolo, and noticed an increase in performance.

    Nice flight. Reverse thrust ? How ?

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That little single lead off the ESC is the reverse. Plug that into an open channel on you receiver and assign it to a switch. I highly recommend using the "a" swatch or gear channel. Now I know your saying wait, I want the REFLEX system to work and I only have 6 channels. well you choice is this either 1 you power your reflex with the bind port and only have optimized only. you buy a 7 channel receiver or you choose do I want the reflex with all features available or thrust reverse. I went with a 8 channel receiver that I already had and I am set. That need for 7 channels is something they conveniently leave out of the advertisement.

    I flew this plane for the first time, not to forget the day was pretty windy, and when I took off from two attempts it flipped. Is it because of the wind?, because I thought this can handle wind well

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      A rc plane handling wind is very subjective. It gets down to your experience level and being familiar with the plane and how it inherently handels the wind. But remember its light weight foam, with the battery it is still fairly light. turn the plane sideways or against the wind, if enough winds gets up under that wing any plane will flip.

      Thanks for the tip, and also this is my second plane after a month of flying a micro one, so that might be one of the reasons why :)

    I was hoping you would compare it to the Durafly Tundra you had on the bench. I'm looking to buy one of these (both out of stock now). If you could only get one, do you have a preference between the 2? Thanks, I so enjoy your channel.

      I would get the fms 1300 super cub. A little better quality.

      At present a DX9 Black Edition.

    IMHO, one of the best values for a high wing STOL in today's market. Near perfect size to my liking.
    What 8 channel receiver did you use? Would you please provide a link to the receiver you used. Thanks
    Nice flight but would have liked to have seen you use the reverse thrust on a landing or two.
    I know you don't fly much inverted but, in your opinion, does this model need some markings added to the wings to aid in inverted flight orientation?

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used an older OUT of stock ORANGE rc from hk so sorry I do not have as link. I forgot I had it when I was trying to figure out how I was going to get it all going with this plane.
      And yes some scale numbers or stripes would be a big help for inverted orientation.

    Just got one flight out of mine and needs an elevator replacement

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you crash it? or did the elevator detach at the hinge? Or what?
