If Akuma was that good and that easy to perform with, we would have another Japan Evo 2020 as it was with Leroys, SA dropped early, didnt even get to groups, Chikurin most of the time used NERFED Leroy over the Akuma in TWT. Akuma has some stupid shit, but he requires execution no doubt about that

As a 2D main I'd say that it's a bit annoying but I really grant Atif the win though I was for Jeondding. Even as a non-Pakistani respect to that country for the win

I honest loved how many different countries there were in this tournament. Truly an international game. I think Atif Butt is one of the most aggressive players. That's probably why he lost to Eyemusician but beats other Koreans because Eyemusician is great at punishing aggressive play.
Akuma is basically working with Tekken 8 mechanics and was never properly balanced. Every other character without similar 2d moves and pressure tools is at a disadvantage.
2d or 3d does not mean anything in a tournament, here every one wants the cup, every edge matters. All players have equal opportunity. Its a fair game.

I think Koreans could play Akuma like that but most high level Koreans from what I have seen and heard frown on the character bc Akuma is not a true Tekken character in their eyes. Having said all of that the Pakistanis are def monsters in this game and are fun to watch play any character. They are so much more aggressive than the Korean play style generally. Both countries are god like in tekken and head and shoulders above the rest of the world.
I mean in a fight between SS+ tier and shit tier im always rooting for the player with the worst character. I don't give a damn about anyones nationality or race but seeing eddy in finals is just amazing.

Wait I just realised, think back to any other game played competitively, Akuma has won 2 different world championships in two different sub genres for this generation (2-d and 3d) . Evo 2017 SFV TWT 2023 (If you want to consider Marvel 3 technically anime they isn't he the only character to take a world championship in 3 out of the 4 sub genres, 2-d, 3-d and anime. All we need now if for him to star in an arena fighting game and take a world championship in that.) I'm sure we will see a crazy guest star again in a 3-d game but I am pretty sure they are not taking two world championships in two different games in the same genre.
Funny thing about people crying about Akuma is that no other region can play akuma at this level, (super akouma, shin akuma and even the koreans etc) so i dont get how people say its op, pakistanis have mastered this character on another level. Akuma is Akuma. He's supposed to be hard to beat no matter what game he's in. His annoying level is nowhere near characters like Geese, Marduk, Chloe etc. It's like they designed those characters to be annoying and cheap.
Totally not an annoying character able to take half hp with an unseeable low to combo or from a 10f jab, or invincibility moves without the use of meter. Very fair, totally
Akuma players at this level are the best players considering all the nerfs, ex bar dependance, lacks launchers compared to other characters as well as combo starters making him the hardest character of the game requiring máster level execution

Akuma is basically working with Tekken 8 mechanics and was never properly balanced. Every other character without similar 2d moves and pressure tools is at a disadvantage.

I think Koreans could play Akuma like that but most high level Koreans from what I have seen and heard frown on the character bc Akuma is not a true Tekken character in their eyes. Having said all of that the Pakistanis are def monsters in this game and are fun to watch play any character. They are so much more aggressive than the Korean play style generally. Both countries are god like in tekken and head and shoulders above the rest of the world.
Doesnt mean any thing in a tourney, here every one wants to win and will use every edge possible like leroy was used by book in previous year.
