Always satisfying to watch a toy be refurbished and reassembled.

This kitchen is where it all started a couple of years ago, watching Michael repair toys I had no idea of how to fix. Thanks!

I’ve never been a fan of Thundercats, but I’ve always had a passing intrigue with a lot of the villain toys. The Fistpounder is no exception; It looks like it would be really fun to roll around and crush stuff with.

You just know that someone at Mattel was kicking themselves for not making a Fistpounder vehicle for Fisto. In the words of Homer Simpson... DOHHHHH!

This is such a ridiculous vehicle, and I absolutely love it. Great to see a repair style video again, and looking forward to the next installment.
Also, you exerted very strong professionalism while having to state "Fistpounder". Well done.

It's nice to see you tinkering around in the kitchen once again,it's been too long.I think as a toy,the Fist Pounder(insert childish giggle here)does impress,I could just never wrap my head around it's function in battle as a kid.

Can't wait for that Thundercats video. It's crazy to think that Super 7 or Hasbro would make this vehicle a 300 dollar crowdfunding project. Also it's interesting that in the 80s alot of toys used screws where in the 90s plastic tabs were used alot more often.

Whenever I hear "Thundercats Ho!" I end up looking around like an extra in a Mel Brooks movie.

Great work. It's very weird that seemingly there are a bunch of running changes, both on this and the thundertank, the Fist Pounder having been released by three different companies, and yet the Thundercats Wiki says these don't differ from ones another.

Very cool. There is a special place in my heart for Thundercat Toys. Not to mention I truly miss watching you do these types of videos. I learned so much of what I know from your previous restoration videos. Don't get me wrong I completely enjoy the informational videos you do, but would really like to see at least a periodic return to this type of content. Thank you for all you and your wife have done and continue to do with your channel.

There are also variations in each of the fists and the way they attach to the vehicle. I learned this the hard way when I bought replacement fists for my vehicle, and they would not attach because they were the wrong variation. If your vehicle has a tab protruding from the rotating piece That attaches to the fist, then the fist needs to have a hole in it. And vice versa.

Like I said on twitter, I'm going to be getting one of these next Sunday, and I knew it was big, but, wow! I didn't know it was THAT BIG! It's going to be.....challenging.....trying to display it.
I'm also glad you mentioned about the dashboard, I had no idea there were any differences. The one I'm getting has the single slot, and there's one matching on eBay right now.

  • @Mentski

You can see the thought processes involved in the revisions of that control panel. I'm going to assume that it often came loose and fell out during play, hence the revisions. the one with the centre bar has a centre point of weakness, did that often snap off, I wonder? The next revision with the pegs on the corners probably solved an issue with the central peg snapping, but the panel (I'm guessing) still fell off to be finally replaced with the panel with the clips to finally lock the panel in.

Nice repair. The vehicle looks great.
It’s too bad the manufacturer didn’t put down a white base coat of paint or whatever they used before the yellow and red layers, epically on the dark blue plastic. Lego has that problem, and has for years, where they have omitted an undercoating of white printing on Minifigs and other parts where the otherwise excellent-looking decoration won’t look its best with a dark plastic under color bleeding through.

I played with G.I Joe and Transformers. I had zero interest in He-Man, Thundercats and the other 80s toy lines. Even today, I don't care for toys outside the ones I grew up with. However, I still love watching review and restoration/repair videos of them.
