She went wrong at 0:46, then at 1:07 and to top it off gets her heel caught in her dress at 1:16. It's a shame because the rhonde at the start was lovely in hold and then she trips and never gets it back. Her hold (left arm) was up and down his shoulder like crazy which caused her core to weaken, the frame was jolty and she wasn't living the dance in hold. Out of hold it was great, the Argentine Tango sections were lovely and the acting was good but it interrupted the flow of the dance and this was still very messy. Her Samba was good and this was a little step back. Lots of faffing too! Could be in danger but it deserved more than a 3 for the sheer difficulty Craig. Its a *5/10*
Nina came out with such an admirable attack and determination. She was totally into the character of the tango. Her footwork wasn't that bad, though she dis miss some heel leads and it was lacking sharpness and that very important stalking leg action (moving as if you are pulled by magnets and all you can do is drag your legs across the floor). My biggest concern was Nina's upper half of the body. It was pretty weak. Her head position wasn't good, there was a bit of gapping, her frame wasn't stable... in ballroom, it's important to isolate the upper half of the body from the lower - the upper half shouldn't move at all, like it's all covered with plaster, while the lower half (the legs) is doing all the work. In Nina's case, even though performance-wise she really did an excellent job, the technical elements weren't good, and I'm talking primarily about even more basic things than footwork, i.e. posture and body connection to the partner. My score: a 5.
This had real promise but unfortunately the string of mistakes meant that Neil had to drag her around at points. And the mysterious disappearance of Nina's neck is yet to be solved. 4
Score: *5* So Nina the Diva was a bit timid this week and why did the show give Neil his worst dances with Alex back-to-back this season (didn't do so great with his Tango and Samba with her). It wasn't a bad performance, there was stumbles throughout and it did lack impact in some places. I do commend Neil for putting some AT figures in there but Nina stumbled on one of those figures. I feel like they might be in jeopardy tomorrow, but with a season with no lackluster participants, sadly might be Nina week to go which I hope doesn't happen!
@@LuxLisbon26 it made her mess up once or twice, it could have been more traditional which i feel woukdve suited nina more, if not for the AT bits, it couldve been good
I thought they danced very well. The problem at the beginning is there are too many to vote off. Why can’t they vote for the three least likely to make it for the first few weeks ? Tough luck. You did well!
Nina tried her best just like everyone else . It's not easy in rehearsals and getting all the steps right. You can only try your best you win some and loose some
So sad to see her go, especially as last weeks dance was so promising, this really wasn't her dance, or, was it Neils choreography? Anyhow, c'est la vie 💖
She was better than Katie in the dance off. I agreed with Anton. Nina made mistakes in her first show of the tango but she cleaned it up really well in the dance off.
@@RachaelLink I couldn't have called it to be honest, because everyone was so incredible, I've never seen a closer leaderboard on week 2, this is gonna be a series to remember, I know it.
Why didn't they get a nice song to Tango to like Robert? A good effort but it felt a bit too manic and busy with not enough staccato. Why do I feel like Neil has taken Anton's old role. No offense.
If you're going to point your foot, POINT your foot. Some flappy kicks there, although I thought that one of them might have been because her heel was caught in her hem (?). Lovely ronde at the start and some nice footwork. She lost her timing in the middle but still finished on a strong note.
I felt her costume wasn't the best. A bright red slinky number to bring out the sass might have been better. Had the potential but fell short this time
I thought Nina would stay. Her dance looked more technical to me that Katie’s. Plus I know who she is and admire her work, whereas I wouldn’t know Katie from a girl on the checkout at Tesco who had to call for the manager for a price on a Sara Lee gateau I was buying because the barcode wouldn’t scan.
I firmly believe the whole system of different dances is wrong. How can you differentiate between people who may be better at other dances but are not given the chance. Everyone should dance the same dance so the best and worst could be judged correctly.
Well, there are 14 couples, and 5 are "ethnic" (I presume you mean not white?) as you say, so it's really not out of the bounds of probability at all - especially if a dance was riddled with choreographic mistakes and technical errors.
Oh!! No! Nina! No!! What happened? Did I set myself up for disappointment? Going from that unexpected, smashing Samba to this?! The gapping, they looked so far apart! They looked like they were falling apart, so much stumbling. It looked so much better in training. Maybe nerves, she did well to carry on after mistakes. Judging by all the dances we have seen this week, she may be going home, and I think that's such a betrayal of the Nina and that dance we saw last week... But that does depend on if she improves. It wasn't that bad. But those scores... Made me grimace hard. As an aside, though I do agree with all his criticisms, I do think Craig was way too harsh on that one and went a bit too far...
Bless her... personally don't think the song choice helped but well done to her, gave it her best shot!
an absolute TUNE

I didn't think she should have gone out. I think she is a good dancer. I think there are many good couple this year so we are in for a few shocks.

Save the kicking and flicking for the argentine tango
Agreed!!! I love Neil but a bit disappointed with him adding that to the choreography. And it really didn't help the dance!

Not bad for a Week 2 Tango.
It would be a shame if she goes. So much potential. I can't see her getting many public votes though, even if I hope I'm wrong.
Yeah she leaves, really sad

Bit of a shame she went out, I think she had more to offer if she had been given more time and practice.
I WANT HER TO STAY BUT IT'S NOT LOOKING GOOD :(
shes going home!
The fact this wasnt even bad at all, i wouldve saved her
I love this pairing but I didn’t think the song went well with the dance idk
Needed a little more pow to it.
Gutted for them 😩 can’t believe they’ve gone out first 💔
A 5 for me
It's easy for the public to judge, but when one is actually dancing only they know how it's done. She tried her best and that's all you can do.

I'd like to see him pick her up!
Not bad for week two but the framing was not that great
Good try foot issues, framing issues. 2

Total mismatch song dance and dancers
Sorry she's gone - Katie McGlynn should have gone if only because I cannot stand her voice. It's not the accent it's the voice itself. Painful.
That’s kind of ridiculous reason to not like someone. She can’t help that at all I’m also pretty sure Nina wouldn’t like you talking down to Katie.
It was like he was dragging a sack of potatoes, totally lifeless
Terrible. 1/10
The ethnic ones always end up going first. Sigh.
This wasn't a good dance. It has nothing to do with her ethnicity
