- The Yukon is GMC's largest SUV built. On the outside of the Denali Ultimate you will see 22in wheels, black chrome accents, unique wheels and electric running boards. On the inside you will be greeted by a special 2-tone leather, 10in infotainment system and digital gauge cluster. Under the hood is a 6.2L V8 pumping out 420HP & is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Is the GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate a BETTER luxury SUV than a 2024 Cadillac Escalade?

@@crow_2k11beatsbydre8 it takes about 28 gallons on E to fill, so whatever your current price is. I’ve had several Yukon XLs and suburbans with the 6.2L. Even my 2016 could get 500 miles without needing a fill on a roadtrip.
My Grand Wagoneer L with 31 gal tank can get over 600 miles on a tank full.

The fake air intake up front is functional on the diesel version for the intercooler.
Also, the front arm rest slides forward to be useful with the console slid back.
It is functional on a diesel.

I drove one of these in Chicago in December, being English it was like captaining a ship but my word I felt safe with my family inside. Should I ever move to the states I would certainly have one of these behemoths

Love mine! Looked at an Escalade, but like you said, don’t need all that screen and like having real buttons and knobs. When you open the armrest to get to the lower section, you can leave open and pull the leather top forward, so front seat still has an arm rest too.

Great video! I love the channel. I have a GMC Sierra now and want to upgrade it. I know I want the ultimate trim for sure. I also know GMC is doing a redesign for 2025 hopefully with a panoramic sunroof in the Sierra. I have seen the Yukon ultimate and I go back and forth to what I want….. Yukon or Sierra…… I don’t tow. I do a some dump runs but trying to see what suits me best. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Yukon or Sierra? 😊
To me, the Yukon is the Queen in the 100,000 dollars price range.

I went with the 2023 GMC Yukon XL AT4! Was in Colorado last week in negative weather with snow and ice and handled like a dream! Highly recommend it! Went with the AT4 over Denali for functional over fancy. But still looks incredible with a bunch of great features!
But that 6.2 vs the 5.3… unless you got the 6.2 with it. I’ve had a hard time finding the AT4 with the 6.2
@@kariw.160 I got the 5.3. It’s for my wife mainly. I have a F350 so I don’t need any additional power for it. It is hard to find the 6.2 but I haven’t had any issues or regrets with the 5.3

I’ve got mine on order straight from GM in the volcanic red. I cannot wait! Upgrading from a 2019 Suburban Premier RST with the 6.2L. I DO wish they had done the Vader chrome throughout instead of regular. Now that would have been 🤩
I agree- we just ordered mine 2024 in White and we are planning to turn the chrome lettering to black & probably get the window section wrapped in black as well so there's only the dark chrome

Great video Raiti. GMC has a big year coming. With the refreshed 2025 Yukon, redesigned 2024 Acadia and 2025 Terrain coming down the pipleine. Dont really care for the Sierra EV Denali, but who knows what theyll do for the 1500 pickups..... 🤔🤔

I own a 2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate. I love it! I am an absolute fan of the front grille on my new Yukon. I, too, wish the side emblems said Ultimate (as well as on the back of the vehicle). I admit I do not like the wheels that come with the vehicle and have new rims on order. I have yet to be able to use supercruise because it says it's not available. All in all, I am happy with my Ultimate.

I love the bold aggressive style of the Yukon Denali grill over the Tahoe and even the Escalade… to me the Yukon sits perfectly in the middle since you get more luxury than Chevy but you’re not afraid if it gets a little dirty unlike the Cadillac.
If they would only put that 3cyl that was in the Buick you reviewed a while back it would be perfect. I am getting very concerned for all the Caddy owners with so many sirens going by. Nice review as usual Joe and Steven.

My dad bought his girlfriend the Cadillac Escalade and bought himself a Denali Ultimate. I personally prefer how the Denali was equipped over their Escalade. It has Super Cruise which is amazing, but the Cadillac has this commanding presence about it and refrigerator that always comes in handy for us. It really comes down to personal preference

I'm sorry but this vehicle's design, fit and finish, technology, etc. does not reflect the price they are asking for it. It's crazy how inflated the car market has become. I remember in the 90s a full size GM SUV was about $25k (around $50k today's money)
I love this car, but i would still take the esclade since its much nicer, but this is one of my fav cars ever

The GMC Yukon, Chevy Tahoe and the Chevy Suburban and also the Cadillac Escalade the good old, naturally aspirated V-8 under the hood with a 10 speed automatic transmission. And also GM’s super cruise is the best in the business!

i remember the first gen Escalade was exactly the same as a Yukon Denali for that time. i mean GM shares alot of platforms but they were exactly the same except for the badge. they've come a long way

I was debating between Escalade and the Ultimate. Went with the Ultimate. But prices are more like $120k for all options Escalade and $100k for Ultimate.

Apparently, the camera can pick up the infaraed sensors inside the steering wheel built I for the GM Super Cruise feature.
It’s just how the camera is picking it up
I wish theres a review how the car looks at night to see how bright the backup cameras looks.

As a 2024 rst tahoe owner here are my thoughts. I don't love the rims. Mine look better. I'm super jelly of the black chrome. Personally, don't think the extra power from the 8.2 is worth it for the mpg sacrifice unless you are pulling a big boat. GM has done a great job with the powertrain and I drive all over Texas at 85 plus comfortably and get up to speed easily in the 5.3. my Tahoe RST with the lux package has all the bells and whistles I want for 73k. The interior is definitely nicer than mine but not 20k nicer. pockets and storage are identical. Same sound system. You are paying 20k for the air and magna ride and the big engine. I'd drive both because the ride is luxurious in my Tahoe but I'm sure would be better with the two suspension upgrades. Personally, I chose the 5.3 because no other car remotely this size averages 21 mpg driving all over Texas. I love it.

I love this SUV
The problem with the Big SUV's from GM is the seats. The bottom seat is way too short for a bigger person. What SUV at $100K and over does not have seat extensions. All other manufactures do! Come on GM. Also the bottom door panels need to be soft touch as well for $100K! Getting there but needs improvements!

I love the Ultimate but everyone I looked at was just over one hundred. I never saw one close to the 93 price range. I could not justify paying over 100,000 for a GMC.

It sure does. I bought the Grand Wagoneer L Series III. It has more power and torque and standard features that Escalade charges extra... or doesn't offer!
Lake Tahoe area is full of Tahoes and Yukons. They seem to have grown in size over time. A monster SUV. The dark chrome is a huge improvement. Raiti is correct that old style chrome is tacky at this point. The electric dropping running boards are rather important in a car this high. Fabulous brown interior. Very elegant living room style. $93k, ouch. Buying a new car is becoming the exclusive territory of the upper middle class. The middle class is being priced out.
People in other countries are so jealous of these gigantic cars, that they don't get to have. It is the modern land yacht; we moved upwards instead of lengthwise, although frankly i prefer the super long Thunderbird and Caddilacs of 1959 onward.
Things keep getting bigger and bigger!
