Hi Luna! I have just listened to the book so far as I am writing, and wow is the only word that comes to mind. For me, Buddhism is the only belief system that makes sense, so what the book says speaks to me without even having seen the deck yet... Seen it now😀 I am not a big oracle decks fan, own only 3 (2 of them I rarely look at 😀) but the artwork in this seems to reach a kind of primal (?, found no other word to describe it) point deep inside, like an instictive mother-earth related Rorschach test ? Which is exactely what we need in this point of human history... Biiig 🙏 for showing this incredible and unfortunately not well known deck!
This is so far beyond just an oracle deck, it ain't even funny! I think you could get something valuable out of this whether you're working on the grass roots level (literally), getting into environmental activism, or walking a purely spiritual path. The artwork and the writing both have that organic, natural, responsive feel. In the book Even Cowgirls Get the Blues (Tom Robbins) a character talks about Paganism and Buddhism, saying that Paganism has lots of heat but not much light, while Buddhism has a lot of light, but not a lot of heat. This explains why these two perfectly dovetail for me!
I love that! Don't know much about Paganism, (yet) but I can sometimes feel the lack of "real human heat" in Buddhism , which is something I struggle with at times. I'm on my way to try and find an online copy of "Even cowgirls get the blues", sounds appetizing 😋@@TheZenWitch
We found it at a Barnes and Noble bookstore. It can be really fruitful to browse a physical shop. You may find publishers and decks that you just won't run across otherwise.
