Good shit! As a kid growing up in El Sereno, L.A. younger me was heavily intrigued by the tag banging & the culture surrounding it. Many great writers got deep into the gang shit later on, but that was due to the unfortunate circumstances pretty much.

It's great to hear real people talking about how our societies are falling apart, but I think your views around climate change could be updated a little bit here and there. For example: you are talking about carbon capture, but technology is not going to save us. It will only end up consuming even more energy. The only real solution we have is to consume less energy: consuming less stuff, driving less, flying less, on an individual level but also on a society level. This means we will need to totally re-think our capitalist framework, to a point where you could argue that it is not even capitalism anymore. There's tons of literature out there about this, but if I can make a suggestion: read some Naomi Klein. Or maybe get her on the podcast :)

Alex is dropping a lot of straight truth! Seriously, there is more accurate insight into what's going on now in this episode than you will ever hear on the news, and it's not over the top and crazy and whacked out, it's just informed and on the level and reflecting what's actually going on. I also like how real Alex is in al of his podcast appearances. Not everyone is going to let you know that they were eating pages out of books and just kind of leave it without a lot of further explanation or analysis.

Things are bad but It isn’t hopeless. 2 tone and anyone who wants to make a difference, You can and you should. The one thing that works is organizing. We can organize together to make a difference. One person can’t make a change but together we can. Find a grassroots organization that resonates with what you care about. For example, I started organizing with extinction rebellion and democratic socialists of America. Organizing=>people power=> creates victories at the local level.
