Thoroughly enjoyable video! Nicely filmed and edited and a warm and welcoming setting! That hand-turn sewing machine makes the best sound. Most of all, you taught me something new. Thanks. Can’t wait to try this with some canvas scrap I’ve got on hand. New sub.
Thank you very much indeed, I am definitely going to keep going with my videos, I have so many ideas and things to do 😂, I really enjoy doing it, and I am feeling really good about it, when I am camping or making things I feel really happy, good, thanks very much for responding to my video 😊
Another great video my friend I’ve always wondered how affective and how the singer sowing machine works but never looked it up so this video is wry helpful keep them coming
My needle threading tip is to rub the end of the thread with some soft wax (beeswax) and then cut where it is waxed. The thread will be stiffer and there will be no stray fibers sticking off the end of the thread which always makes threading the needle tougher. Credit to my grandma for leaving a chunk of wax in what is now my old Singer treadle machine, there was also a chunk of resin which I assume she used on the drive belt (still original from 1938).
Thanks very much indeed, I wax my own Fred sometimes for leather work, it really didn't occur to me to use my wax with my sew machine, it's crazy how it didn't occur to me, thank you very much, this tip is a game changer 😀 I will mention it on my next making video 😀
Nice idea.
Practical sewing for a practical guy. Love the presence of your assistant for the fiddly stuff!
Thank you very much 😊
Cracking vid mate! I love your no nonsense approach and easy to follow instructions.
