    For what it is worth, I am a satisfied customer and agree with everything Cole is saying here. CJC installed this exact kit on my 2500. The difference from stock is night and day. These guys know what they are doing and they do it well.

    I just installed the Carli Commuter 3" suspension lift on my 2018 Ram 2500. The ride is amazing. Only downside was when I hitched up my 32' travel trailer I experienced more than expected squat in the rear end. I'll be adding airbags to boost the rear end for towing. Overall, while considerably more than the $350 spacer lift kit when you invest $70k in a truck why compromise. Carli system is worth it.

    I agree, recently did the Carli Commuter 2.0 on my 13 2500 with the torsion sway bar and carli control arms. Much much much improvement over just coil spacers. Carli progressive leafs and extended travel air bags are going on the rear this week along with a Carli steering stabilizer. I know you pay a little more up front for Carli stuff but after using it first hand I can see why.

    You guys really should mount a dash cam or rear seat/front window view when doing a test like this. The cab view would also properly highlight the torsion sway bar. Filming the driver like this with a handheld doesn’t show anything. The viewer has to take your word for it. I did like the exterior shot of the dip for comparison. Thanks for trying to produce better real life comparisons on truck suspensions. All the companies out there only show bullshit doughnuts or quick cutaways. Nobody other than Carli shows quality footage of their HEAVYDUTY products in action. P.S. I know Thuren is great as well.

    I have a 2020 Chevy trail boss LY with the 6.2 ltr engine It has a factory 2 inch suspension lift from Chevy. I had a 1.5 inch front leveling kit. My question is what Cali kit count I get to accomplish a plush ride on and off road. Like washboard dirt roast and pot holes. But maintain that awesome three inch lift spectrum. Thanks. Serious buyer looking for serious but effective option. Thanks

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Carli doesn't make anything for the IFS Chevy trucks sadly. We typically use Cognito arms and keys, 2.5" King OEM shocks, and a custom Deaver rear leaf pack. That's going to be a great basic set up to improve ride on those trucks significantly, while sticking within the confines of the factory suspension.

  • @BassFlatsBeyond
    @BassFlatsBeyond 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    My problem with this system and, others like it, is that it reduces the payload to that of a half ton. If I could have gotten away with half ton capacities I would have bought a half ton truck. The quality is there and you get what ya pay for, but if high speed off-roading is what you do, you probably should have bought a raptor.

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For us guys that need to haul AND off road, and don't want to buy and maintain 2 vehicles, this system is perfect...Just add air bags to your coils and the max factory payload and towing ratings are returned (much cheaper than 2nd vehicle)...Now you have best of both worlds!

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the Cari or Thuren kings are significantly better than an off the shelf King because of the tuning. The magic of both lies in the months they spent coming up with specific tuning profiles for the various truck platforms and spring set ups that they offer.

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This will be a SIGNIFICANT ride improvement over an air based system. There's a common misconception that air suspension is "like riding on air" but in reality, you're riding on a thick rubber bag filled with air. Those bags don't compress, flex, or extend anywhere near as well as a coil spring will. If you're looking for ride quality, especially off road, these systems are the best you can get.

    Lift kits are ok,but what I don't like about them are the lies the lift dealer tells the customers, and the line all the customers say are this, My truck doesn't drive like it did before, I want it like it was before, and because of this my shops policy is we are going to put your suspension back stock and charge you for it, just tell customers the truth, It will reduce ride comfort,it will eat tires like no tomorrow,and there are no complete alignment correction kit that will meet specifications, and gas mileage will suck, That the cold hard truth,

    • @Shad0wC0mpany2
      @Shad0wC0mpany2 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I for one am interested in Siafu’s comment -specifically, the “my truck doesn’t ride like it did before and I want it back to OEM”, and the mpg hit comments.
      I understand that altering the height of the vehicle will cause a slight mpg decrease, but just how much of a hit would be taken when installing a 2” leveling Carli system, or Pintop 2.5? Would it be that horrible?
      Also, just how “bad” is the ride from the same 2” Carli leveling or 2.5 Pintop system, with Kings, compared to say stock form? Can you speak from personal experience everyday driving for a Carli system? Is there anything you would recommend in place of the Carli system that I referenced with regards to ride comfort and mpg?

      Carli suspension only makes suspension kits for factory straight axle trucks. Currently dodge ram, ford superduty and jeep wrangler.

    Do y'all make these for the GM 3/4 or 1 tons?

      Carli Suspension is designed around the application of a Solid Front Axle.

      Sorry, as of right now there aren't Carli products for anything other than solid axle Ram and Ford trucks!

    Would this be a good kit for an F350 dually?

    • @CJCOffRoad

      Yes, that exact system will fit!

      Is the dually meant for towing? if so Just do a leveling kit.

    Can I haul my fifth wheel camper with this or will it sag and if it sags can I add air bags ?

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That depends on which system you run and what truck you have. If you have issues with heavy towing, the Carli long travel airbags are always a great option.

    Ride quality is better but towing is way worse...

    Lift kits SUCK!.....all kidding aside it seems the vast majority of 2500/3500 truck owners don't have any idea on what a proper tuned suspension rides and handles like...Ask them with their generic lift kit how their truck rides and most will say "not too bad, it's a little stiff but I like that"....I used to give rides in my mid travel 2wd Titan pre-runner (I know not apples to apples, but gets the point across) and all of sudden they kind of get it...The shocks on that truck where also heavily R&D'd, not off the shelf..

    I’m assuming this is for “mall crawlers” soft suspension + heavy hauling =👎🏻👎🏻

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jay, your assumption is a little off! With some quick googling you can see that Carli suspension systems are some of the hardest charging off road suspension systems available for Ford and Ram diesel trucks!

      CJC Off Road I agreed with you on the off road no doubt brother . My comment was referring to heavy hauling/towing.

      @@jaydoucette3353 Anyone towing heavy doesn’t lift their truck. The mall crawlers that do and tow...well look at them going down the highway and shake your head. Carli stuff is the best on the market

    Yah no shit dude. You spend 2 or 3 times the amount of money it’s going to be a better ride. That’s like comparing a Miata to a Lambo

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a plenty of Carli options that are very similar price wise the the compared kit that still ride much better. There have been a lot of arguments on forums etc as to the differences in the kits so we made a video to answer some of the questions. Thanks for watching!

      One is a lift kit meant to fit larger tires the other is a suspenion system.

    • @daryoushborja5115
      @daryoushborja5115 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dillon A Miata may ride better than a Lambo as far as ride quality, but that is subjective.

  • @Sdukes001
    @Sdukes001 ปีที่แล้ว

    Basically lift kits are for looks and ride awful. A suspension system is actually better suspension and ride and yes like everything in life you get what you pay for.
