2021 and I’m listening to my teenage daughter try and compare this to the original. Even though the original will always be the best, God Smack played the hell out of this!
Question For the Sabbath Funs....When this song whas wroten??? Question For the Godsmack Funs...In whick release of Godsmack was in this?? Question For the Guitar Players....In which tune Sabbath plays it ,and in whick tune Godsmack is????
Drugs!!!!!????This is the real drug dudes.!!!!!It does not cost a shit ,it hearable and not drinkable or smokable.....It talks directly to your soul and your feels!!!!Music is the REAL DRUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sweet leaf is like alcohol - only lasts for a moment, then leaves you worse and begging for more listen to ozzy's "junkie" - if anyone knows the consequences of drug use (or overuse) its him.
@MetalFan6937979 No offense, but you really need to learn to spell better. Sweet Leaf was on Master of Reality, which I believe was released in 1971. I'm not 100% sure on that. This was released on the second Nativity in Black album, which is a Black Sabbath tribute. I'm not a guitarist, so I don't know the answer to the last question. Are you referring to the key or tuning that they play in? That question was unclear.
I mean this song in particular, not in general. They just seem to have instituted (or at least tried to institute) a generic doom metal sound in this song, unlike in their other songs.
I really don't think they are trying to sound like anything but themselves. Godsmack has it's own sound. Hence the reason why they are not trying to sound exactly like Black Sabbath. I'm a Sabbath fan as well, but I never thought of Godsmack as trying to be 'doom' metal.

Hey can some one tell me why some of the songs I have on my play list have been canceled out?
The original is still the superior version, but Godsmack puts their own spin on it and do a respectable job here
Yeah, like this version too.🤘

ehhh... it's okay. I like Black Sabbath's version alot more. Sabbath's version has more... I guess atmosphere. It's still an okay cover though.
listen to six feet under's cover of sweet leaf. wtf.
Yeah good one guy's. 😂
Sullys the man.......A
How so? None of their music sounds anything like doom metal...
It's not bad, but I definitely like Sabbath's version better.
just sayin
I lasted 55 seconds.
@MusicVidInterpreter i like black sabbath's version better too
ok this is a pretty good cover. but it kinda ruins it compared to black sabbath because every one knows you cant beat them\m/
All the makings of a bad cover can't redo it for ur own purposes ......then goes to shit
@bahello >2012
> This still blows compared to the original.
i like godsmack better , but this isn't their style so it reall doesn't sound as good.
Godsmack is trying so hard so sound like a doom metal band...
are you dumb? godsmack sounds nothing like doom metal.

Ugly Kid Joe's version is far better.
This sucks!
Anyone left in 2023!??? Fckn Godsmack 🤙🤘
