GLENDA, 33, who is originally from Cameroon, moved to the US in 2011 to pursue a college degree. After graduating, she began her career in real estate where she came across real estate company owner, Roy, 68. Despite the 35-year age gap between them Roy started to flirt with Glenda and she fell for his charm straight away. After dating for weeks the pair were head over heels for each other and made it official. Despite their happiness, when they got together Roy was dealing with his own battles: "We met when I had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I didn't want to take a young, attractive woman through that," he said. "But she said no, her exact words were: 'I'm kinda a ride or die gal'." Although Glenda was committing to Roy, not everyone was happy about this. "Roy is older than my mum," Glenda said. "My mum was 54 years old so she was definitely not having it." The couple are also trying to grow their social media presence and have received judgemental comments online. They have received comments like: 'She's married just for the money', 'When will you start changing diapers' and 'His bank account must be big.' But they disregard the stranger's opinions, Roy explained: "She's a remarkable woman on her own, doesn't need me. We just enrich each other's lives."

Thank you for showing this very informative clip. I'm 69 and have been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in December 2022.
I have been struggling with the same issues. Questioning where my private life is going, with my sexually and trying to find a understanding female .It's been very hard meeting ladies due to being rejected because of my medical conditions. I'm also a Vietnam Era veteran with service connected injuries.So am dealing with not just one medical issue but with a number of medical issues. In the past, all I had to deal with was my service connected injuries from the military. I fought through that over the years. I was always able to have a number of relationships over the years. But with the Prostate Cancer it makes it more difficult to deal with.

My dad had prostate cancer. He is now 82 years old. He does his laundry, goes for his walk everyday and does his plank every morning. Praying your husband will live to over 80 and see his children grown. You are on the right path. Walking, working out, eating healthy food, and being happy with who you sharing your life are the best things to keep you going. Congratulations to both of you❤

Compared to all the other age gap relationships. They're one of the healthier versions of this. It doesn't feel gimmicky or daddy issue based. They just met through work related business and naturally had an attraction. Good for them 👏🏾.

I worked in geriatrics for 10 years and this man looks good. I’ve seen people in their early 50s to 60s who look like they are in their 70s or older.

My husband was 39 years older. I will never regret falling in love with him. I learned so much about not just life but myself, what true love means, sacrifice, and the depths of grief one endures losing such deep love and I wouldn't trade that experience for the world.
You both will become numb and hopefully oblivious to others' reactions. This is your love story and your lives individually.
As long as you respect and trust each other, your love will be an example to emulate.
In the end, I did take care of my husband. He was a proud man and was grateful and gracious til the end. It will be 6 years in February that he's been gone, and I know I'll never be loved like that again, so I look forward to eternity where I'll see him again. I can tell by the way you look at each other. Something real is there.
All love has to be rekindled from time to time, but that's a decision you make, like with any commitment. So, commit to commit.

I had a cousin that passed away at 52 and her husband of 3 plus decades passed away the next year at 80 something. He was the same age my grandmother would've been and older than her mom. They had 3 kids together. She was a very wise woman with a beautiful soul. Everyone loves her and misses her to this day.

I understand the trepidation family and friends have but the gift of someone giving part of their life as you are losing yours is so precious. It's always nice to see a happy couple, no matter what their age difference may be. Once you are an adult, you should be able to date anyone you wish... without judgment from others. And I have to say it- that man looks fantastic. I'm 58 & just went to my 40th high school reunion- most of the guys my age didn't look as good as this man. I think that having a younger partner can help keep you young. You want to get out & do things together, rather than spending your retirement years sitting in a rocking chair & waiting for death to sneak up on you. My dad was 55 and my mom was 40 when I was born. I lost my dad in 2019 to cancer. He was 86. I took care of him at the end. I love him, always will, and will always be grateful for the time we had together. I am sure if you two are blessed to have (a) child(ren), you will both be wonderful, loving, strong parents! Wishing you the best of love! I’m also a stage 4 cancer survivor as of now but I have changed my lifestyle by exercising daily and changing my diet. I cut out the sugar and processed foods and now juice to get plenty of nutrients. I’m huge on holistic health and nutrition/supplements. Praying for your recovery🙏❤️

This man is the most young, playful, and youthful 68 to ever exist! I can totally see how they get along so well together. And he is absolutely in love with her! So he isn’t a misogynistic, abusive creep like most guys who go for severely younger women typically are.
But having a child at his age is extremely selfish, and it skyrockets the chances of the child having disabilities and chronic illnesses, in addition to the obvious childhood orphanhood. Listen, you could marry a compatible age partner but the children might live a hell of life despite the presence of both parents, they also could divorce and the child will suffer seeing both parents alive but apart.
My grandfather married a very young woman in her 20s (after divorcing my grandmother) while he was in late 60s and they got 2 children, my grandfather passed away now, but I’m telling you the children from the first marriage (including dad) are less stable and less successful compared to the children of the second marriage, one of the children from second marriage is very famous in social media with millions of followers and psychologically more stable.
Unfortunately it is the minority of population where you could find a successful marriage where parents and children live together healthy and young, in reality you’ll find either divorce (almost 40% of marriage) or a non stable family with fight and lack of peace despite no divorce between couple.
The child will need both parents the first 10 years, after that it will be great if father or mother present , but if not, honestly having a good memory about your old father who’d die while you are young is waaay much better to have a young father who’s really taking the peace out of home.
I’m talking from my own experience.
I really resent people who think they know what is good for someone else. Really it’s none of your beeswax what these people decide is good for them. They are happy and if she wants to have a child i am sure she is aware of all the possibilities. Just because a guy is young doesn’t mean he will be there for the child as we have so often seen. Lot of deadbeat dads who are very young.

I don't necessarily think most women under 25 are mature enough for a relationship with someone old enough to be their father. My mom and dad was 25 years apart. He was almost 60 when I came...and still looking good. I feel like I was able to have the best of him at that age - I was sad that he got sick (coincidentally Prostate cancer) and passed when I was really just starting my life - BUT to the point - I see value in this partner. They are happy, traveling, BOTH careered up, and I am sure he will make sure she and his baby will have a stable comfortable life after his departure - My dad passed at 87, with a good 10 years post diagnosis (he refused chemo) - so it's definitely possible he could be around for all of the child's childhood. So I pray the cards are lined up for them to win, and that he's around for them to reach most of their goals together.

❤...my lady is 38 im 66 a 28 yr difference. My daughter is 46, sons 32 n 27. She has no children. We also worked in education together. There was friction in the beginning but we learned to co-exist. I gave her a referral to work with my former Mgr at another school. 2yrs later we worked together again. That yr I turned 60..she volunteered to make my invitations to this grand bday party I gave. We connected 2 weeks later. The rest is history. I too went thru the prostate cancer in 2021. She has so supportive throughout, as have i in her different endeavors. She's a great lady. Who would imagine 11 yrs later that we would be an item?..
