You should be ASHAMED of yourself, adding to my pile of projects that I now need to complete because you did an awesome job with this! How dare you take away even more of my free time?!?
Easy fix. Go get some cheap water color paint. Paint a piece of paper with each color let it fully dry. Come back and paint a line from every color you got on each piece of paper. Yes even red on red. However we are not done yet After everything has dried come back and do a second pass of each color on half the line from the previous painting session. This will give you a visual road map for how paints layer on top of each other. How extra coats can change the look Now any paint that is not a mono pigment paint will mix differently. But it will give you knowledge of what to look for. If you are worried about non pigment paints and how they can be slightly goofy. Don't worry there is a cure for that as well. Paint a paint grid onto a new set of base color pages. Letting a red blue yellow vs red blue green paint combination and how it looks be a simple reference for you.
That was way more simple than I expected! I love projects like this, where it's just the amount of layers that you want to do that make it complex or not.
Yeah! I always meant to make my sculpted pumpkins and mold them and then cast them out of cold foam so I can have them forever but I didn't want to do all that. So now I can do this. I put this comment here cuz I like your stuff too. Star Wars and all that junk and stuff.
Wow! I love this! i have a couple of foam pumpkins but wasn't sure what to do. Love the hot blade - looks much easier than what others suggested. Thanks for sharing this
Be careful though modeling clay is not the same as something like my foam clay. It dries out quicker and is heavier. So that’s why products like model magic develop cracks due to the rapid shrinking
Alright already, I'll sub...every time I think I'm subbed to enough art channels, a project like this shows up in my feed...great pumpkin, Charlie Brown...🖖🏿😎👍🏿
Your tutorials are very well done, thank you for sharing your talent. I was never a fan of pumpkins, but two of your videos later I have changed my perspective and now I am inspired to create some! =)
Thank you, I forgot about my foam pumpkin I bought like 10 years ago and didn't know what to do with it. So it got lost in the pile of never gotten to. Back at that time everybody wasn't going crazy about making everything out of foam. And since then you came out with all the good foam products, BIG THANK YOU! I make a lot of stuff out of a lot of things and foam has become one of my favorites. I've also sculpted a lot of pumpkins. And when I say sculpted I don't mean curving a jack-o'-lantern. I even made a silicone mold once of one of my pumpkins but never casted it in anything. What you did there is what I was meant to did there... Now it has a purpose.
So so so freaking good! Wow! This could also easily be converted into a mask as well I would have thought! The creative juices are flooding the floors with this one
wowwwwwwwwww that is aswome like always you inspire everyone that looks at your props you have great talent your family should be highly proud of your talent keep up the great job.Bless you and your family.
Ok so I don't have the equipment to do this, but wow am I amazed by your craftsmanship! It inspired me to do something similar, but in a totally middleschool fashion lol. Since that's all I can do.
Oh wooow! I just accidentally ran into your video, and loved it. I've watched it from the beginning till the end! This neat job of yours is amazing. I love how you work on every single detail. Subscribed! 👍
I made similar teeth for a scary project this year using termoworx plastic from Amazon. They're so easy, you just melt the little beads in hot water and then mould them into the shape of a tooth. I ended up also using scissors to cut the ends to look sharper. I definitely want to give this pumpkin a try next year!
Super cool! I'm going to heavily borrow from this video for a pumpkin spider prop I last minute threw together to fill front yard space a couple years. It's really lackluster right now and I think those wicked teeth look great, so I'll try my hand an clay foam to dress it up this year. Thanks for the tutorial.

This is incredible. I run a DnD game for 2 neighbor families, parents and kids. I'm going to try this same concept with the actual Pumpkin this year.

Glad it was helpful!
Looks amazing, what an imagination you have.
Thank you very much! 🙌
An awesomely gruesome pumpkin. Well done.
Thank you very much!
This gave me a great idea to use molding clay to sculpt details! Much easier than silicone or Sanding down foam, thank you!
