Tamar, even with her antics is known as an amazing vocalist and at least being entertaining. Trina and Towanda are going out sad and so is Miss E.

I think you are right, Tamar is a convenient scapegoat. I see a lot of people bashing her online but imo shes braver than most for taking her mental health seriously and at least trying to heal
A lot of ppl going through what she is. But the shame is stigma is keeping him SILENCED. I think some of the sis aren’t ready to live in their truth
She’s strong for being herself even though people who don’t know her go after her and hard and people like Towanda, who is a sister Tamar wants to be in relationship with, shut her out and disrespect the hell out of her all time and having Traci always trying to get physical with her, per the show.
I agree Tamar is the scapegoat because she speaks out. Traci however wasn’t messing with Tawanda (last episode of the last season ).

The more Towanda says both on the show and on social media, it feels like she brought the show back so that she could control the narrative. Tamar and Toni don’t really fool with the rest of the family on the regular and that’s clear. I feel like Trina actually cares and wants to be there for everyone to her own detriment but Towanda is focused on controlling the narrative. She even got on social media and said that everything that Traci said about the family was a lie and she apologized before she died and even implied that Kevin Sr put her up to it which makes no sense. Traci was expressing her feelings but now Towanda is saying that this was a storyline and the family is having to defend themselves. The only one who seems defensive is Towanda.
So much drama and not even in a good way. It’s sad
@@ShantayNorth82 that sounds like damage control. How come all this was not said when Traci was alive? I call BS. They don’t need to convince us, convince their family and heal from it. It is messy and a pure tragic.
@@hadijatkubrat3580 I feel like they want to convince us that every negative view we have of them is not because of them, but because of the men in their lives… in this case, Kevin. Their sole aim in life was to be famous and TD Jakes even told them this. They wanted fame so much that they turned the public off and now Towanda more than anyone else wants to gaslight the audience to believe what she wants us to believe. Everything they’re doing is showing us that this show has nothing to do with what’s best for Traci or even their own healing. They could have put their pain into the music and we would be having an entirely different conversation.
@@ShantayNorth82 Towanda isn’t my favorite. I don’t think she’s totally lying though. (That’s so hard for me to say lol). I’m not saying that Traci didn’t have reasons to be upset, however, I did also feel, even back then, that she had displaced anger that wasn’t for her family either.
@@Aname87 now I could see Traci having misplaced anger but Towanda saying the family supported her and had her back, we could see on the show that wasn’t true. Now I will go as far as to say it wasn’t their fault that Traci got pregnant and couldn’t sign her deal but now all of a sudden she’s the glue of the family when that wasn’t the case when she was alive
She didnt put the money in the son's name though. She just made her son the executor of her will and left him control of her image. Her husband got all the money in their accounts with the exception of a trust she setup for her son. She made her son the executor because she knew her sisters would act how they're acting now. On top of that, she made it clear in her will that in the event her husband or son couldn't handle her affairs, to leave everything to her brother Michael. She ain't leave them sister's nothing but the right to a portion of her ashes. While they're painting the false narrative on the show that she left her husband out the will, she actually left them sisters out. I think the conflict between big and little kev is probably due to big Kev not wanting Traci's image on the show, but little Kev having the control over that.

I was actually glad Towanda walked away. She’s always been difficult for me to watch. I’ve never liked her energy. I think if she hadn’t walked away, there would’ve been a blow up between Tamar and Towanda bc those two are the ones that really don’t get along frfr.

I wish they would have filmed setting up her foundation, doing a charity dinner/concert in honor of Traci or heck them writing/singing a song in Traci’s memory…that’s what I would have liked to see from them and this show. But like Iyanla said chaos and confusion is attached to this family and it’s truly sad.

When Tamar said she felt like she lost time with Traci, I felt so bad for her. I can’t imagine what it’s like grieving her sister AND knowing that her health status was kept a secret from her while everybody else knew.
Towanda walking away from the table was MEAN and I have always felt that Towanda is passive aggressive, especially towards Tamar.
I definitely share your sentiments about the show. It’s not good, and it’s ruining the brand/memories we have of them. The more screen time Towanda has, the worse it is.
It felt heartless when she walked off and Trina pressed the issue…like was that necessary?
Tamar should try and reflect on why her sister didn’t want her to know instead of being upset that know one told her

Had someone just been HONEST about why Traci didn't want her around, then fair. But they're lying about that shit, too. Kevin Sr said he called the mom and told her about Traci because Traci didn't want any of them around because she didn't want to bother them!
I mean Denise, the caretaker, even said Traci told her she didn't want to tell the SISTERS, not just Tamar, all of them. And Denise said it right there in that same scene, yet somehow you missed it.

What really bothered me was when they had already seen Kevin jr by visiting. But when he came to the birthday they all was like KEVINNN, they never be that amped up to see him in other seasons I know he notices the fakeness
Traci’s son got married about 8 and half months before his mom passed, not 2 years. And Traci was diagnosed about a year before her passing.
I don’t think it was right, but I personally think Traci kept it from Tamar bc she’s sensitive. On BFV, she broke down when Toni revealed she has lupus. Traci didn’t tell any of the right away though, bc like Denise (the friend) said, she didn’t want to be a burden. I’m a cancer survivor and I’ve felt guilty and told my loved ones the same.
True. It seems heavy to know EVERYONE kept such an important secret from you (Tamar) but it also another instance of the sister dynamic
I hate to say it, but Tamar needs to drop her sisters. It’s clear Towanda doesn’t like her, and Trina is a follower. Toni wants little to do with all of them. Girl, cut your loses and go.

I think they’re all saying the same thing. They don’t feel safe with each other, they don’t trust each other, they’ve held so many grudges and refuse to apologize and take accountability and they’d rather just be around each other and pretend, than to actually work on the actually relationship. They would rather forgive these men 20x times than to forgive their own siblings .

I agree 50%… The will (which is public and online) gives Jr control as an executor and he has control over her brand, image, and likeness with a caveat… he had to show he was ready for it. Traci left her husband her bank accounts, the house, her nieces ashes, and more.. Her brother was also included in the will… in order to use videos of Traci (to include her in scenes on this new show) they had to get permission from the one who owned her image and likeness… hence Towanda manipulating Kevin Jr into thinking she really cares/loves him because they need his approval to move forward with the show (and using Traci as a storyline). Yes, Kevin Sr cheated, and Traci cheated on him to get her lick… but she loved that man and he loved her and they both worked it out, forgave and moved on… He was there until the end… (I don’t remember if her mother and sisters were included in the will…and that says a lot)

@@Innerchild.WhispererThe will being public helps to protect the assets of the deceased. Also I don’t think Traci would be pleased with all this hate Kevin Sr is getting. Also the will states that if Kevin Sr and Jr wanted to distribute her ashes to her siblings and parents they could at their discretion. She also did not leave her sisters the nieces ashes which was telling, she left the memorial ring and ashes to her husband. I think it’s insensitive and disrespectful for the family to be tearing down her widowed husband. Shows the lack of respect honor they had for their sister.

I hate how they are downplaying Traci’s husband. The sisters refuse to acknowledge Kevin Sr. Traci didn’t do that on BFV’s. I hated how they portrayed Tawanda’s ex- husband Aundre and Trina’s ex Gabe. Tawanda is really pumping up this boyfriend Shawn who has not married her.
When Tawanda did that about Kevin Sr. I heard her mother’s voice.

Agreed! I’m re-watching BFV and I’m on season 4, and watching with fresh eyes….Tamar was gaslit quite often. Being gaslit to THAT degree would make anyone lash out TBH. Towanda has always been difficult to watch IMO. It’s just something about her that is real snake-ish. (Traci called her snake as well) Towanda hasn’t liked Tamar in a long time (if I had to guess, since Tamar cut the purse strings)
But you are right about Towandas inauthenticity (It’s very obvious)towards Lil’ Kevin because she’s NEVER shown that much interest in that boy! Like I said I’m on season 4 and have yet to hear the nickname “scratchy”. Apparently, other family members have never heard her refer to him as such either 😂 I just hope she’s not trying to get some money from him! It’s already bad enough that they’re using Traci as a storyline and a quick check!
From what I’ve observed, Vaughn treats Trina the way Trina treated Gabe! 🤷🏽♀️ But anyhow, love your perspective!

This new series and these lives that go on for them has me looking at Trina differently. She can be as nasty as Towanda is, and has no problems saying things that would hurt Tamar.

I've never perceived grief to be a such an intensely opportunistic moment in time to unveil the true depth of toxicity and inauthenticity OR the love and honor of a family dynamic, yet here we are. I find the entire set of interpersonal relationships and dynamics lean more towards revisionist history, love and respect, some of which was never there unfortunately. They will have to confront themselves and their real life truths about their mother in unadulterated honesty (since their father has already been crucified & eviscerated emotionally/psychologically). The sum total of toxicity, dysfunctionalism, and decorum between the siblings & parents themselves is NOT the burden of one person but no one can deny the sheer influence of the hand that rocks the cradle. Ms.Traci Braxton was a discerner of the relationships with her sisters, mother & father & her nuclear family as well and governed herself accordingly. I pray she's in paradise at peace and rest; and for the rest of by the family, I would close the chapter of reality TV and FIND healing and rest in Jesus!

I'll probably sound like a broken record, but I'm so proud of Tamar. She respectfully held her own at that table, expressing her hurt about being the last to know of the extent of Traci's illness.
I felt sad for her when she said she felt robbed of time with Traci in her last days. And the fact that that still kind of haunts her. Especially because they had made up.
What irked me was Trina saying Tamar and Traci were at odds, that's why she wasn't told.
And that "oh" she let out when Tamar told her 'we weren't at odds. Do you know something that I don't know?' I was so proud 🙂
Then bringing NYE to corroborate what she was saying, only for NYE to clarify that that whole situation happened BEFORE covid.
Tamars feelings were valid, and they know it. She didn't lash out, she expressed herself calmly and that's why Towanda walked away. They had nothing to use against her

I still love Tamar ability to be authentic! However when she gets in love or animated in an upset way, it’s a lot. She would be such a cool friend but I don’t think our personalities would be sisters. I wish she would love herself as much as she loves rich men and learn to adjust in settings. People will always side when she’s not the main character but I think her sisters stop making her the main character in their lives. Which is healthy. Just hopefully they fix the relationships before someone else passes. O and I think Towanda needs to understand Tamar doesn’t know all the secrets so stop criticizing her movements indirectly. Maybe if she (Towanda) knew less, she would understand more. Best thing she did that episode was walk away from the table. Don’t be apart of the conversation every time.

You can’t overly give IF you expect the same level in return. Been there. You will get hurt without the same reciprocation. At some point be okay with the level you have and embrace growing it by better relationship. And if they don’t want to grow that relationship, add people who do. Also Tamar might want to watch the words she say to her sisters in anger, if she cuts to low, I would hate if another sister goes, and she has even more pain. Wish all them well ♥️

They had to 0:28 get kevin jr on board with them so they could use Traci 's image. They couldnt put his moms pictures on the tv without his consent. They talked Traci into putting everything in her sons name while she was in her lowest stage of the disease, because they know they can manipulate kevin jr. They didnt let Tamar know because Tamar would eventually tell what they did. Thats why she didnt know

I couldn’t believe the mother, regardless of what your girls going through Tamar should have learned that something not right a bout mother she’s not right. She feels some kind of way because Tracy chose to go with her dad and she more closer to her stepmom and dad family I’m happy that brother of theirs kept his family away from all of that. The show is smoke and mirrors and a total money grab. The 2 that are working the hardest are the 2 broke girls. Towanda filed for bankruptcy 2 years ago and Trina filed 3 weeks ago. Towanda owes

Towanda is his god mother. So yes she is step up more to the plate then she would have if Traci was here. Most god mothers will do that when parent has dies especially if the child is young. Also if you remember in the first two episodes Towanda and Kevin Jr were in contact with each other. We did not see him calling any of his other aunts or grandmother. And I know they do edit things so it look a certain way to us.

That was the most honest thing I saw/heard on the show. Especially when she said she doesn’t like her family, none of them.
I actually have always felt that the sisters (Traci included) used Tamar as a scapegoat as to not deal with other issues. I believe this is why Tamar doesn’t want to do the show. Tamar isn’t always right but she isn’t always wrong, but neither are they and with 5 girls, having conflict with Tamar isn’t the only dynamic.
Trina usually doesn’t gets on my nerves, but occasionally she pisses me off. This is one of those instances when Tamar said her and Traci weren’t at odds and Trina had to say they were at odds, when it honestly seems like they were ok.
I wonder why Trina needed to insist Traci and Tamar were at odds? Was it really necessary? It also made Tamar feel even worse. Trina can be a follower at times. Shes the "lost" sister of the family.

I personally think Traci didn’t tell Tamar bc she’s very sensitive, but it’s easier to say they weren’t getting along. Every so often Trina does this though with Tamar. She’s blows up for no reason and takes it there. I recently rewatched most of the previous series. Watch the scene where Trina asked her sisters their opinion on chicken wings for the restaurant . Tamar gave her opinion. Trina blew up bc it wasn’t what she wanted to hear, talked about Tamar’s motherhood and then Traci blew up on Tamar outside.
Trina is also the middle child between Towanda and Tamar and they’ve VERY close in age. Towanda and Tamar are only 3.5 yrs apart. I think sometimes Trina goes along to get along.

If Traci was still holding grudges like that when the last time she saw Toni and Tamar before her illness, Toni’s birthday party and visiting Tamar in California during the pandemic and was smiling and laughing in their faces while secretly harbouring resentment she didn’t reveal, then she was spiteful. She was petty, and she was out of order. Period.
I’m a new viewer, Tracie did leave her Husband property and money , she left Lil Kevin the power over her likeness and money and the power over her charities. The will is public knowledge and it also says if anything was to happen to both Kevins everything would go to her brother nothing to her sisters . I think the reason Kevin and Lil Kevin are having issues is because he knows that the sisters are using him because he has power of his mother’s likeness and Towanda and Trina needed this show for money .

Traci's team failed her as an artist/brand. They relied too much on the BFV wave and seemed to have no plan for her beyond that.
I agree on everything about Towanda.
Tamar reminds me alot of Kourtney K Barker in the sense that they understand reality TV. It's the good, the bad and the ugly and they don't shy away from that. They don't overproduce their storylines. Whether viewers appreciate that is a different story.
At this point they should stop harping on 'sisterhood' and do their own individual thing.
Lastly, I'm so proud of Tamar for not adding much of her thoughts on the whole Kevin Snr/Jnr thing that happened in DC. I know she would've gotten draaged on the internet for her opinion. Actually, I'm proud of her this season because she's really trying. She's minding her business and speaking on HER feelings

Cliff Jones was her Entertainment Manager. He brokered a deal for Traci to have her whiskey line but it was done right before the pandemic. Then Traci learned of her cancer diagnosis in December 2020 so that probably impacted her ability to promote the brand and continue working.
Her will indicated that Cliff was to continue with managing her brand, image, etc. until her son was ready to assume that level of responsibility. I don't think Kevin, Jr. has the bandwidth to manage all of that whereas Cliff is a seasoned Entertainment professional. Traci should've allowed him to remain as the Entertainment Manager.
IMO, I think Cliff and his team had been doing a great job with managing Traci & brokering deals on her behalf. She was a co-host of a radio show, made public appearances including charitable ones, released two music projects including songwriting credits, and had solo performances. She really seized the moment in utilizing the Reality TV platform to her advantage.

I have only watched TH-cam clips of BFV, and this new show. Over the years, I've learned so much from reading the comments. From where I sit, the Braxtons are using this new show to ease their guilt. The family was on Wendy Williams many moons ago. The family acknowledged Trina had a drinking problem at the time.

You and me both! I’ve noticed from the VERY BEGINNING that Tamar was the family scapegoat. She’s NOT a saint and could definitely work on her delivery and tone but she was often right in what she was saying.
The scene with the sisters, Miss E and Denise PISSED ME OFFFFFFFFF!!! All the glances, side eyes and communication with the eyes was EXTREMELY telling from everyone at the table…. Even the friend knows the truth! My thing with this family is WHYYYYYY do they outright refuse to be honest? Just say what it is! Set Tamar free with brutal honesty about THE REAL ISSUES! The timeline that Trina was giving made zero sense! That show happened back in 2018/2019 where Tamar and Traci had the issue, so it made no sense. I understand being in the “anger” stage of grief but sheesh. I really feel bad for Tamar at the end of the day; she’s literally been gaslit into insanity!

Tamar is trying to work out her tax situation with the IRS so to me they need money ! The sad thing is they are using the death of Tracy to make money. Towanda is trying to be all big and powerful with all the answers but she’s a big fake! Tracy wanted to have a real relationship with her sisters but they all pooped on her. Living she was the strongest and now in her death she’s still the strongest because it’s her death that’s giving them income. On another note: how in the hell can Towanda drive around in a Tesla and Trina in a BMW but can’t pay their damn bills? All are fake! Again my opinion. Toni is smart to stay away!

This episode was awful and cringe. The death of a family member can sometimes put further distance or bring families closer. I feel like Traci passing put further distance between this entire family. Tamar and Mrs. E seems to be close and feed off each others energy, and I have no doubt they sit and talk about the whole family in a negative way, because there’s definitely some negative energy between Mrs. E and Towanda. Tawanda definitely wants control of the narrative, I feel solely to put herself in a positive light and it has nothing to do with a better “image” of the family but just herself. Trina is simply trying to hold on and hold it together. She seems to be the only authentic one with real feelings about Traci passing which is sad. I agree that something is definitely off with Trina’s husband! He seems very cold and emotionless! I feel like their sisterhood was summed up best by the friend. She said at the end Traci said she didn’t want to bother them. Traci knew the REAL dynamics of their sisterhood and wouldn’t show up for her in a REAL loving way. I find it strange also that Tamar claims she didn’t know until 2 weeks prior to Traci passing. As much as Tamar is on social media I certain that she saw that picture 2 years prior to her passing. The clips that they keep editing into the show, of them all with Traci seems to be in her last days, nothing it seems to be clips throughout her illness. I don’t know the whole thing seems strange and unloving. The cousins don’t even seem close at all. I don’t think I’ll continue to watch, because it just gives me second hand embarrassment for these people, and it feels so sad for Traci.
