I’m a bit late but i absolutely love your PSO2 lore series! I’m in ep4 right now and this video is super helpful for me for digesting the story better. Thank you!!
I may be in the minority here but I like the change of Episode 4, we isn't an errand boy or simply just in the right place at the right time to deal with some shit, working with Hitsugi was originally being both an orientation mission and check out on unknown ARKS which lead to the reveal of a new world. Sure the pacing of the early part of the game and the lack of MC present can be annoying, but they were testing the water then, after the school arc, it back to battle with MC now being the guide and providing support for a novice rather than being just a being running there, doing that and so on. My favorite moment this ep probably when MC and Matoi combine each other power to help Hitsugi purify Mother, it shows that both of them seem like have an uncanny synchronization and understand each other without saying
not gonna lie, I personally loved EPISODE 4. I just wish that we spent more time actually exploring the friggin _secret war between the Merlin's Illuminati and the cult of a moon goddess from another dimension,_ in the beginning of the EPISODE, rather than high school hijinks with the (admittedly lovable) Big Damn Nerd Hitsugi, because the very idea of the Mother Corps vs Earth Guide is honestly amazing and could arguably be the premise of an entire show in its own right.
As someone who's always been fascinated with that sort of thing, I liked it too. I also liked the whole double espionage game between ARKS and the Earth folks and how the aethernet came to be. It reminded me of how the precursor to the internet we use today came about in the 1960s. The Americans and the Soviets used it to spy on each other during the cold war. I'd wanted to make a video about it for a while now but I've had a hard time finding parallels between the two.
Finally I can escape the 5 hours streaming and get the clear story... Now I realise that The first part is the same as In Phantasy Star NOVA(it is still a good game Just check the it out and you will understand) !!! Whatever People says , this episode is good , the story , the pacing, the drama, the. Isekai and the amazing soundtrack make it one of my favourite arc !!! Thank you for the clear summary content and keep it up !!!!
Is just me but I remember there was a time were I was waching fate lore Vedios on the setting and playing PSO2 I don't know why but episode 4 kind gave me some Fate Vibes though I can't really pinpoint were.
@@Zeomantic I all good It kind of a rabbit hole to go down hell only know the surface stuff thanks someone who did lore video on the setting and even the rules on how magic works. Though technically earth and moon haveing spirt were maybe connecting believe two may have similarities though technically a lot of animes kind of do that. Though do remember there was a point were remember when was looking at the leader of earth guide he kind look like the male equivalent arturia.... well he had that one lose strand of hair just sticking out. Also I'm guy like trying to think how cross over could work and with the ship haveing dimensional travel could open up to a lot of possibilities.
I'm abig fan of the secret war idea, it has so much potential for storytelling, how they handled episode 4... I spent as much time eye rolling and facepalming at the idiocy at display it kinda spoiled that aspect for me... just too much pointless melodrama

Episode 4 was the only content SO bad people don't want to remember it exists.
@@zeehero7280 i really see no problem with Ep4. I like that we became the Senpai of the story for a change
Love these to death man 👌👌 would love some long-form even deeper dives into the ps/pso2 lore!! Keep it up :)
Appreciate you, buddy! Busted my ass on this one the past couple days since I wanted to get it out to you guys before I went away for a week!
Fantastic plot summary! Episode 4 is my favorite in PSO2 and it's nice to see it get more love
I guess impossibly incredibly poor taste is a thing lol.
@zeehero7280 It's called an opinion, and there's no such thing as a wrong one. Sorry if that offends you.
Looking foward to the episode 5 video
Whenever you find the time for it
Next couple months will be Busy with a capital B thanks to the NGS update and FFXIV Endwalker.
@@Zeomantic yup it'll be hectic so try not to burn out or anything
Good looking out, friend!

the intense feeling of wanting to slap kohri in the early part is immeasureable.
For some reason I feel like episode 5 is the MAJIN buu saga for pso2 where a lot crazy sh*t happens the most .

Surprising you didn't mention PSO2 the animation, considering it was a big set up for episode 4!😯
You should do these vids cuz I skipped the cutscenes in the game to finish the event. :(
Yeah I know a lot of folks did and were just in it for the SG.
^^ great vid as normale can't wait for the next one but ya dec new reagon is going to be hype.

Not terribly familiar with the Fate franchise, so can't really say anything there.

Ya quiero tener una pc para jugar al Phantasy star
that season lacked of logic in the artistic and marketing POV , i still think something shady happen back then
