      Paid artistic content, reality is Worst platform, poor support please please stay away from wint stay safe. Earlier I recommend this company but after seeing the support when we got issue, I'm saying this. Support ticket 29540. My wife amount blocked more than 4 lakh since 3months, no solution. Ever believe this company directly use RBI Retail App for buying bonds directly from government for safer future.

    1. Lady's father had government job, likely pension. so parental support needed.
    2. Man did Engineering in the 1990s this itself put him in top 1% percentile. How many did engineering before IT boom in India?
    3. Man inherited House in Delhi. So, no cost for housing.
    4. They both were in IT. just before & during the Boom. So, they got lucky.
    5. Lady got multiple onsite job options. Japan, US, Europe. They earned in foreign currency.
    6. They dont have kids. Never mentioned about kids.
    7. They have real estate in europe. in Major cities in EU RE became 3x in Euro terms in last 20 years.
    8. This couple has foreign passport, as they would not be buying house on a PR in europe.
    9. They intend to travel 195 countries not on Indian passport for sure.
    10. They retired at 50, with foreign income, foreign passport, inherited house, most importantly not having 2 kids like middle class indian.

      Having a house is so much under-rated. Currently, in major Indian cities, for my FIRE calculations , housing itself is 20X my annual expenses, even with 2bhk. Also, salaries in Europe have moved 20-30% in past decade but India has become relatively expensive.
      But Kudos to the couple. We still need people like them to inspire others.

      Fire for average Indian is possible only through equities and only if he or she get in early. Should start investing from first employment and incrementally increase every pay rise.

    This video indicates you don't need a high IQ to be a good investor, just 2 qualities, self discipline and a lot of patience. Investing is mostly about behavioral psychology. How can I generate more income to retire with at least 3m for long term care?

    • @greekbarrios
      @greekbarrios 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      We share common goal, making sure you are ready for your later years is very important. That's why passive investing works, low costs, better diversification and it enables people to overcome their behavioral bias especially if they engage professional help.

    • @blaquopaque
      @blaquopaque 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@greekbarrios It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $30k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.

      Yes that is correct. We don't have children and that definitely does bring the travel flexibility and accelerates the financial independence journey. However we are funding / funded the education of the nephews and nieces. Also most people by 50 become 'empty nesters' so hopefully that brings in the flexibility to travel too.

      There's no winning, when a couple being childfree is mentioned audience takes it as personal attack on their own choice of having or wanting kids even though its completely related when we talk about money. People will start making unnecessary comments like how they will be lonely, they have no purpose, fire is not worth it without kids and so on.
      On the otherhand when it's not mentioned they suddenly realize, how important it is to share that.

In fact many millions are born FIRED, what should they do? Some people are so rich that all the next coming generations are FIRED. I think next 20-30 years at least 25 percent of the population will not work. Work is a choice and not a necessity anymore, this is a slowly unwinding human story.

In order to achieve FI, you obviously need a decent income… You cannot expect to make 2 lac/annum and retire in Europe! Amazing and inspiring journey, Yogesh and Sheema! What is the ballpark annual expense that you have factored in? Considering globetrotting in the agenda, the planned expenses, I would imagine, would be quite chunky.

    they never mentionedd their networth - it was said 35x+ annual expenses. given their life, I think their annual expenses could be ~75-100 lacs. so they have accumulated 25-35 Cr! but then with 70% income coming from passive sources, ~30 Cr can yield about 90 lacs annually (assuming 2-3% yield from real estate/dividends/ etc.) ..
    Conclusion: If the above is true - the fact is one needs to cross 25 Cr networth to be really free and live a near-luxurious life.
