People in the crowd could have been reacting to something else completely and they edit it in a way to push a narrative i.e. the mean people only cared about her looks and were lauguing at her but she showed them. Contestants are also screened at producer auditions before the "real" auditions so a lot of people would already be aware of how good she was. Goes to show, if the music is good enough, it could change the world. I loved it because she stood there and took the jeers and the laughs and she kicked their asses. Great reaction! 🇺🇸👍💯🔥⭐
Johnathon Antoine and Charlotte got a very similar reception when they auditioned - that's also well worth a look if you're interested in seeing more of the same. He came on as this shy, overweight teenager of just SEVENTEEN, and you could see the judges rolling their eyes. And then he started to sing - and OH MY GOD. It still makes me cry, every time, because, even though he's absolutely KILLING it, you can see his little hand shaking with nerves on that microphone. And he's since gone on to great things - and yet still remained the kind and level-headed young man he always was.
😊❤ Iam very proud of all the folks who stood up for this precious lady!! It just proves that in the end, no one stands in the way of someone who knows where they are going! 🤗👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Let's be honest... Don't be oblivious to your own biases. If you had watched the show as it aired, you too would have been surprised. The people in the theatre were not a collection of bad people. The reason she became a sensation is because we were ALL surprised.
Hello Brad. Thanks for doing this one! Susan Boyle's performance was phenomenal. She hit every note perfectly. She dreamed a dream and she had the courage to go for it.
When I first heard this, I laughed before she sang, but I was laughing in delight at her attitude. I never thought she'd do anything but sing wonderfully. I just didn't expect her personality to be so lovely, I was expecting someone who was maybe shy to speak.
I wish people would quit judging. I’ve been judged all my life and I am still judged and discriminated against even now at 68. I don’t have her talent. I’m so very alone because of the judgment. It’s not easy. Good for Susan to show them up.
I felt the same way as you! The people made me so sick & mad when I saw this originally, I wanted Susan to slay them! Then they made me even sicker AFTER she slayed the song!😊
US mad girl...but these negative people are you're family and friends in that terrible US you live in with that dispicable Biden. So why the name, USMadGirl? If you're mad, get out like I did! I moved from the shithole SF 5 yrs ago here to paradise Puerto Vallarta! It's pure heaven here....let me know if you want to know more!!
This is one of my favourite BGT clips! Another really great one is the episode with Jonathan and Charlotte. Another duo that looked like nothing but turned out to be amazing. Simon actually signed Jonathan to his record company I think afterward. Do react to that one if you haven't seen it!
This is by far my favorite of your reactions. People are SO judgmental, so quick to write someone off because they might not meet their mental image of how they should look, dress, and act. The problem is that this lesson must be learned over and over. I find it in myself, and I cringe each time I recognize it. I'm FINALLY learning to look for the beauty that is all around me in people, their talent, and their worth as human beings. We have so much talent in this world and I'm proud to live on the same planet.
I'm so with you Brad. The judges and audiences since then still prejudge contestants based on their looks and age (in many cases). Thanks for your honesty and saying what I have always felt!!!
Thank you for noticing her smile. I thought I was the only one that had. I think it shows that she knows she will WOW them. I never thought that kiss at the end as a kiss off, but I like the thought. I think this audition was probably the one that changed the way people look at people now.
Did you see the dollar signs dancing in Simon’s eyes? And boy did he ever make those millions off her! Love your generous spirit! I’m an old fart singer- 70- crazy for music. The passion never dies.
The most galling thing is the kerching look of pound signs in Cowells eyes when he realised how good she was. Loved your reaction and you are a true gent 🥰

She knew what she was on for, she had been belittled and looked down upon her whole life up into that point. This was her redemption, and what a way she did it in. I too am glad that the way we look at people is changing. Love is on the rise. Beautiful reaction! Thank you! 🥰🙏
You can't train to sing like that. You are born with a gift like that. I have goose bumps all over again. I loved her then and I still do.
One of the most beautiful things about Susan is that she didn't react the way you do in this video. She didn't let her beautiful experience feed the negativity. Gosh, you are so angry seeming. Susan's sweetness and ability to cover things with grace just made people love her more.

Susan is pure class. She paid some dues after this, but she lived her dream. A beautiful and talented being.
I totally agree with your assessment of the judges and audience. Her version of " I Dreamed a Dream" from Le Misérables is my favorite.
Her guest appearance on AGT singing Wild Horses was stunning too
Susan is amazing at wild horses
Watch the movie THE CHRISTMAS CANDLE !!!
HER VERY BEST PERFORMANCE EVER
Her voice is a God given gift! Lovely voice!!!
Susan was the very first singer I had ever listened to on Americas got talent. Years ago. I am watching her again because of her voice and your reaction.
I love the way you stood up for Susan before she even opened her mouth to sing. Very nice comments.
Goes to show, if the music is good enough, it could change the world. I loved it because she stood there and took the jeers and the laughs and she kicked their asses. Great reaction! 🇺🇸👍💯🔥⭐
You're the first person to comment on her smile just before she started singing. Like " just you wait!" I always look out for it.
Never get tired of seeing and hearing the moment Susan Boyle surprised the world... love her voice. God bless her!
Jonathan Antoine is absolutely incredible and inspiring! And I hear that Charlotte is doing quite well in British musical theatre!
Yep, that was another huge surprise and sad that people made a judgment call based on his weight.
Simon even said under his breath “Just when you think things could get any worse” when they walked out.
😊❤ Iam very proud of all the folks who stood up for this precious lady!! It just proves that in the end, no one stands in the way of someone who knows where they are going! 🤗👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a lovely moment. Susan went on to become a big star, watch her singing the Rolling Stones song "Wild Horses" at the AGT show. Brilliant!
The shocking thing is,she came second to a dance group.
@@eh-i1841 Susan was sick at that time but performed anyway.
Susan has the voice of an Angel ❤ Anybody who can bring you to tears = RESPECT
Let's be honest... Don't be oblivious to your own biases.
If you had watched the show as it aired, you too would have been surprised.
The people in the theatre were not a collection of bad people. The reason she became a sensation is because we were ALL surprised.
Dude, you sized up that situation better than anyone I've seen. I've never seen a vid of yours but I'm subscribing on this vid alone!
Hello Brad. Thanks for doing this one! Susan Boyle's performance was phenomenal. She hit every note perfectly. She dreamed a dream and she had the courage to go for it.
I still get goosebumps listening to this!!
The words to the song being sung by her was perfect.
When I first heard this, I laughed before she sang, but I was laughing in delight at her attitude. I never thought she'd do anything but sing wonderfully. I just didn't expect her personality to be so lovely, I was expecting someone who was maybe shy to speak.
48 million dollars later, after Simon producing her music for her she sang with Elaine Page afterall.
Susan in now 60 years old and her worth is estimated at on line sources as $60,000,000, where as the idol Elaine Page is $40,000,000.
This is the first time hearing and seeing your reactions. I love them, you are so honest and not afraid to say what your thinking. Yay for you. 😊
#34 reaction. I keep watching every reaction I can find! I get goosebumps every time I hear her voice!
Thankyou GOD Susan is Susan. No one else!!!
Mood??
Fifteen years later, I can’t watch her audition without getting teary.
I wish people would quit judging. I’ve been judged all my life and I am still judged and discriminated against even now at 68. I don’t have her talent. I’m so very alone because of the judgment. It’s not easy. Good for Susan to show them up.
I have just watched at singer (grandma singing AC/DC HIGHWAY TO HELL) another inspiration.
the best reaction so far, and i have seen quite many!
I am so glad your show was recommended by youtube!
But so much is a setup...
Great reaction well said !! You comments are so on point !! Enjoy
I watch this video every week and have since the day she sang it. Inspirational.
Damn right, Brad - wise words! Totally agree with you there.
A new subscriber here, hello and greetings form Finland!
I'm so with you Brad. The judges and audiences since then still prejudge contestants based on their looks and age (in many cases). Thanks for your honesty and saying what I have always felt!!!
I love your comments. Privileged to have seen it live. Love her and sorry we still judge today....
Thank you for noticing her smile. I thought I was the only one that had. I think it shows that she knows she will WOW them. I never thought that kiss at the end as a kiss off, but I like the thought. I think this audition was probably the one that changed the way people look at people now.
I'm new to your channel and I subscried. I remember when susan was on bgt. She's amazing. I love her.
I loved that you called people out its disgraceful that people just judge on sight loved your reaction
She is Awesome, watched her on the show and look her up from time to time after she left the show
Love her voice and glad she did so well. Enjoyed your review.
It's that little sigh of his at 07:32 thats makes me laugh
I hope it makes you feel better to know that she actually turned him around as a person.
He was headed down a dark path of cynicism and cruelty and she inspired him to be a kinder person.
Well done on your reaction to this Brad . Your awesome. You summed it up well. Please keep up the great work.
Well said Brad! Love your honesty.
Brad.....I can say, without a doubt, you are a really good person! I am proud to be a subscriber of your channel...you have earned major respect from me for not being judgemental and defending her!
Hi just found your channel and I completely agree with you. Susan Boyle had a dream to become a professional singer but put her career on hold to care for her sick mother. I'm happy how she wiped the smirks off the faces of those laughing at her. And she went on to sing with her Hero Elaine Paige you can watch this performance on TH-cam. Thank you for a good down to Earth reaction.
I don't think the two backstage guys were laughing at her: They talk to all the acts before they go on and likely knew what was coming.
