I'm not a farmer and I don't play one on TV, but of all the grain vacs that I have watched on TH-cam, I think that is the best one. It is very well designed!
Hi Chris, that does work really nice with dust, and it cleans it. In other words, it is an outstanding job on cleaning corn and soybeans, and thank you for being a farmer and what you do for us here in the United States . Again, thank you so very much for what you do for us by putting food on everyone's table. All of the farmers deserve a lot of respect and credit for what you all do. Thank you 👍👍👍👍
That's nice system for cleaning out the bin. A lot less work and bother (and dust) than a sweep auger. And safer too. I think you made a wise purchase. Can I borrow it? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That Walinga grain vac does a nice job, it really sucks! When we did soybean we used a vacuum called the scoop shovel. That was back in the 70's, so we had the latest technology. Looks like you got the tractor and the vacuum washed off. Good job Chris, enjoyed watching, have a nice Sunday and week ahead.
Now Mrs Oliver Guy will be wanting to use it to sweep in the house. Or at least a new downsize one. You might be able to make some bucks cleaning up spills from a truck laying over or some grain leg failures. Great video as always.
Thanks for showing us your new toy! Looks like a well built machine. I think you made the right choice going with the onboard hydraulics. Less to hook up, more universal for running different tractors. I can see how the dust is a huge issue. Plus you add the dust to the sweatbox they are, it's just yuck. What does the truck driver do during loading?
Hey Chris! Cool vac video! Wild to think that after all these years Roots blowers are still being built and used! It will be cool when Herman gets a try at the vacuum as the blower on the vacuum moves beans the blower on Herman will be keeping the Detroit fed! Speaking of Herman, he sounded great on the auger at the end!
Word of advice Chris. Don't jerk on the hoses if the cam locks won't come apart. Especially a few feet back on the hose. I have a three inch scar in the edge of my hairline in a six inch circumfrence. I did that back in 1989 while working for grain elevator while in high school. Bled like a stuck pig and damn near knocked my butt out. Now i get to admire the scar for the rest of my life. I learned a valuable lesson quickly. The straight pipe sucks grain alot faster than the than the clean up attachments. I wonder why he was using it at first.
Looks like a grain gobbling machine. I don’t grain farm a lot, but when I’ve got to clean out bins I use my buddy’s REM. Way better than shoveling, but we horse trade on other stuff so it’s fair for both of us. My grandfather 30 years ago use to haul new walinga grain vacs out to the dealers to sell.
I learned that in short order. I was impressed with the sound level of the machine itself, the 2050 was louder. It was the metal flex tube that was the ear shaker.
Gotta love it when the salesman does all the work. Hey could you demo that on this other bin? I’m not quite sure I’ve got it😂. Actually it almost looks like fun. Hey don’t tell Ross but I came over here and watched your video first. 😎
LOL. I think the salesman would have filled both wagons given the chance. Time sure seems to pass faster with the vac vs the sweep. Ross will be able to sniff you out. I can hear it now..."You've been with another TH-camr! I film, I edit, and this is the thanks I get??? Just go. No wait. Don't go. It's the cough syrup talking. Please come back. I'll crow for you!"
Great looking new machine Chris, im glad you've got something to make life a little easier. Would you be ahead of the game uploading all of your bin with the vac instead of running all the augers?
The old bins I'm planning on doing that. But the newer ones can load a truck in less than an hour before I get to the sweep auger. I still plan on using the vac instead of the sweep in those bins.
We're better off than we were, but running out again. I was scouting soybeans earlier and a couple of neighbors corn fields that had germination problems from dry soil now have 3 leaf corn next to waist high corn. Our recent rains got the rest of it growing, but around here I doubt that late stuff will make maturity before a killing frost.
I guess I can't say for sure. I'll have to check slips from previous loads and see if there is a difference in damage and or fm. I haven't had enough either way to end up with any discounts.
Minty Chris 👍 Man I got confused last night, the 2050 has a Hercules engine doesnt it. What is the tractor with the Murphy swiches? Hmm somedays I wonder about me🤪
That is a nice unit. I like the onboard hydraulics that was a good choice. My vote is you put something with a turbocharged 310 on it! Awesome video Chris
I can STILL REMEMBER THAT SOUND OF HERMAN FROM 40 YEARS AGO 😊❤ !!!
What was the most common job for Herman to do?
I'm not a farmer and I don't play one on TV, but of all the grain vacs that I have watched on TH-cam, I think that is the best one. It is very well designed!
I shopped and asked around, and I have to agree. There are less costly machines out there, but it's a case of you get what you pay for.

Nothing like masking life easier. That thing is as handy as a pocket on a shirt!
Nice to see a Canadian-made product!
I prefer USA, but Canadian is a close second.
That is a cool bit of machinery that vacuum thing bro, being green it fits right in. Loved the music Herman was playing at the end. Safe travels. Ken
Thanks 👍
Usually Our method of last resort at the elevator. Typically means the reclaim auger has broken down.
Our Walinga is powered by 30 H.P. electric motor.

I'm thinking I'm going to be hearing that phrase more than I might like. 😂
@@ThatOliverGuyChris Probably! 😳😳😳😳
Awesome...Walinga makes excellent equipment. You won't be disappointed!👍👍👍
Nice Vac👍
Yup !!!!! HECK WITH EATING THE DUST !!!!!

It would have been handy when I turned on that bin fan and the corn came spilling out.
It looks like a safe system for final clean out.
That thing is pretty cool

He watches. Not much else to do.
Those grain vacs are made about 40 minutes from where we live in Ontario
Cool!

The blower on Herman looks tiny compared to that grain vac. LOL It'll be a blower powered blower!
Very nice power doesn’t seem to have been an issue
Never broke a sweat.

I'm definitely liking it.
That’s a nice set up! Right colour scheme too. Having the hydraulics on the machine is a really nice option
I think so too. Everything should work the same each time no matter which tractor it goes on .
Thats a nice machine
Wow that’s satisfying! You’ll be able to offer the Mrs to vacume the house now Chris 😁
She'll want to open the windows or the pressure differential might start breaking glass. 😂
@@ThatOliverGuyChris 😂😂😂
Great investment.Great video
Thanks for watching!
Very interesting machine, neighbor has one, same brand I think. Good day at the office, new toy and rain!!
Thanks 👍
Nice vac!
Nice video 😊. I hope Mrs Oliver Guy doesn't make you vacuum the house 😂. Have a wonderful day 🥳
I hope so too. I think that would be a one and one with that machine.
That’s a pretty cool mochine, and it’s kinda the right color too
It's pretty close.
Wouldn’t be telling mrs. Oliver Guy that you got a new vacuum….might end up getting another job. Great stuff.
😂
You'll find it'll take just little more power on beans but it'll fly the grain quickly
That thing Sucks as much as Ross's Luck lol Seems like a pretty sweet Mo-Sheen
😂
Nice! Great idea to do soybeans first. Soybeans are more abrasive than corn and will shine things up faster.
That, and I got $15.01 a bushel for that load. 😁
@@ThatOliverGuyChris Wow! The best we did on '22 was 14.65. We are 13.60 average on what we've sold so far on new crop fall. Enjoy the new toy!
Ear plugs R NEEDED
Definitely.
If those vacs come standard pricing with a guy to run it, I’m buying one. Hahahaha 🤣👍
That feature ran out after the first wagon load. 😂
My only complaint about using that machine, is the noise. Hearing protection is a must.
I learned that in short order. I was impressed with the sound level of the machine itself, the 2050 was louder. It was the metal flex tube that was the ear shaker.

Nice grain vac
Are you coming to Eldora this month later on?
I'm not sure at this point. It depends on how wheat and hay pan out.
Your a LUCKY FELLA TO HAVE RAIN 😊😊😊😊

Vacuum is a nice addition and safer way to move grain. Did you notice any difference in quality of the grain?

Chris that looks like that's a pretty handy piece of equipment to have😊. Is the color what they normally come or did you get a choice? Thanks Michael
That's their regular color scheme. Worked out nice, didn't it?
@@ThatOliverGuyChris I thought maybe you requested that color. But that's even better yet they got great taste and paint color 😉 thanks Michael

Yeah, I was moving the 1955 on Friday and was thinking it needs a turn. I'm sure it will handle it just fine.
The little tachometer has an hour meter also?
Yes it does
