    I used to have a "power pruner" pole saw. Had the chain and circular saws, loved the circular saw!! Great for smaller limbs and blackberries!! Just keep it revved and keep moving it.. the chain would jamb up doing that.
    Nice piece of equipment!! Thank you Dennis!

    Dennis - Just wanted to thank you for making the videos that you do. Ironically, I have the same Massey 5711 and circular saw (but bought mine in 2017 when the company was called Limbinator). A while back I watched your video on installing the Massey 3rd function, and decided to try and pull 2 half inch hydraulic hoses through the inside of my FL3819 loader arm (where the other hoses are on the right hand side) before spending money on the diverter kit.
    So you know, the hoses fished through the frame like a champ! Now, I have my 3rd function going through my 3rd set of remotes on the back. To go a step further, I ran another pair of hoses under the cab ( and above the transmission), then stubbed them out with quick connectors, so I can easily disconnect and drop the loader when needed. It’s somewhat inconvenient when I have to move my hand from the joystick to open/close my grapple, but it sure is nice to lock the detent on the remote when running the circular Limbsaw. Just wanted to let you know that two half inch hoses will fish through the loader arm, and thank you for doing your videos. (I never knew you had a the same saw, until I was looking for a good video to send my buddy on the circular saw. Now, my buddy has seen this video too…😎)

    • @user-yk6vt7ff2n
      @user-yk6vt7ff2n ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a LOT more fun running the saw than it is the grapple, and I end up cutting a lot more limbs than I have to as a result. Which creates more grapple work picking them up…. LOL

  • @onehappyfarmer3461

  • @regsparkes6507

    Works a charm, from what I've seen here!
    It sure is a helluva lot faster than the chain saws, no doubt of that. I'd imagine that re-sharpening should be 'easy' for a person who sharpens carbide toothed saw blades. I use that brand name of circular saw blades, and get great cutting life from them. "You get what you pay for", as the saying goes!
    Now to pick up all those limbs, I guess your grapple will be good for this, looks like there's some firewood here too, with those larger limbs.

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Definitely a job for the grapple. I spent like 3 day on a grapple after I got done with this thing.

    Sweet setup, definitely a really nice limb saw. Should be able to sharpen the blade It looks like it's just a Diablo 16" 60 tooth table saw blade, not sure what the arbor size is on the limb saw but you might be able to just use a 16" table saw blade. Being able to turn it on its side would be really handy for cutting through briar bushes or any hedge row that is over grown if you don't have a bush cutter. Great video.

    The motor needs to be moved back around 10" with sliding mounts, then put 1 to 1 drive sprockets on the motor and (the new made ) blade shaft at present position, add a chain, and presto ... full cut depth, top, bottom and front. Add a remote rotator head and that would be an excellent machine. Thanks for sharing!

    My vote and choice is still a more suitable tractor. Then it is the new version of Swedish "Fix everything machine" Huddig 1370T and look at the Products / Options. Why not Remote control from basket and have the Crane to bear a helicopter multi circular saw? You can also have it insulated from ground when you're cutting high tension grid cables also. It’s designed to run on a closed 3rd function system like this

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was looking at it and it’s not just a pressure line in and a return line out, the return line has a tee in it with a check valve to let the oil recirculate back to the pressure side and back through the motor once you stop the flow of oil on the 3rd function.

      @@DLHFarms Is that on the Saw unit or on the Massey (aka Quickie ) loader?
      Just wondering, we have a Q66 loader with 3rd and 4th function capabilities.
      It looks like a power beyond design not dedicated hydraulic line per function like our JD
      I can not seem to locate the 3rd function kit ( basically a hydraulic solenoid bolting to the diverter valve with some hoses that attach in the center front of the loader)
      Rhino bought Bushog the Quicki distributor, I didn’t have any luck last year trying to get the kit.
