Experience Mortal Kombat's first-ever major expansion. Aftermath features a brand-new cinematic story centered around trust and deceit. Fire God Liu Kang, the new keeper of time and protector of Earthrealm, looks to secure the future he envisions. In order to do so, he is forced to enlist the help of some unlikely allies and familiar foes. Players will have to decide who they can trust and who they must defeat with fate on the line. Forge a new history.

Sheeva goes way back from MK3. Of course she's well received as one of the veterans. There are even references to those days of her, when Shao recalls her skimpy attire and Scarlet wishes for her green blood.

Conisidering that Skynet chose to specialize in infiltration to deal with the human resistance, I highly doubt that a design like that would come to fruition. A four armed terminator with blades and teeth doesn't really add much when stealth works better. Kinda made me cringe when I first heard it tbh. I don't really see their morphology as being unique enough to justify making a whole new series of terminator.
@@John-Potasz It depends on what timeline we're talking about tho. If it is the timeline where Sarah Connor sent a terminator to change the past, then yes, shokan and and tarkatan design is obsolete.
But, if it is another timeline where they went into a full blown war, shokan and tarkatan based Terminator will definitely be a fine addition to the frontline.

Sheeva kinda went from being an afterthought weak character to being a badass queen. Sheeva’s evolution has definitely improved her character. I like this version compared to the previous versions. She not just a one note bodyguard anymore

What I Like about Sheeva is that she is very loyal, a fierce Kombatant, independent, honest and does not take any BS from anyone
I love how Skarlet brought up the green blood which was a trait Sheeva had back in MK3 but only that game and she was the only Shokan to have that. I'm also so happy they made Sheeva so wise & a little bit feared in this game my big girl been through a lot she deserves it. :) Its also interesting that all of her intros with Sindel are her saying "no I'm not your protector anymore." I don't think Sheeva agrees with the retcon either.

This whole thing is honestly stupid. Outworld was defined by skimpy clothing to begin with. Literally all of the Outworlders from the original games were defined by wearing straps and revealing attire, not even just the women. Nowadays people only talk about the female characters as if it was ever exclusively a female thing.

I honestly kinda loathe this line, for as charming as it is.
Primarily because it shows that the current Netherrealm team really does have an agenda with the redesigns, seeing how Outworld attire used to be defined by its skimpiness. Baraka, Goro, Shao Kahn, Kotal, D'Vorah, Shang Tsung, Mileena, Kitana, everyone. This used to be THE defining trait to their clothing, and now it's treated with a disdain as if it was solely there to sexualize the women.

I think of all the characters in Aftermath, Sheeva's the most sympathetic. She got played, used and betrayed by the villains, all while innocently (well, relatively innocently) believing the best in them. So seeing her tell Shang Tsung to go to hell in the intros brings a smile or two.
