With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Is it just me or did this whole interview truly show that Jen IS Katniss and Josh IS Peeta. He answers for her when she doesn't have words and Liam IS Gale in that he is there to support her but understands she needs Josh more! THEY HAVE BECOME THIER CHARACTERS!!

It's hard not to become your character when you've worked with them for so long. I know that when I read a particularly long book series I adapt parts of their personality because I've been stuck in their pov for a few months

In interviews for the first film, they talked about how when casting these people to be perfect for the roles you tend to find people that already carry some of the essence of that character with them. They said that Liam, Jen, and Josh all similar qualities to the characters they played which is why they were so perfect for their roles.

It was before I'd read the books (I was late coming into the whole THG thing) and I'd seen two of the movies. It really bummed me out. After that I was so tired of the spoilers that I decided to read the books before the next movie came out ;)

Some people enjoy movies more than books. Some people have an hour or so to watch a movie, but not days to read a book? Or in my case, I never wanted to read the books because I have a strange dislike of stories written in the present tense.

katnissandpeeta other than the trailer for this movie, I didn't see any, but I did "read" the book, so I really am looking forward to seeing Josh's incredible performance. He's already nailed Peeta's stuff from the book. Read the book and you'll see what i mean
I've read the books many times and am a big fan. Obviously you can't judge Josh's performance from the book since you haven't actually seen him perform the scenes. Though from what we could see in this trailer and from the way he acted out the strangling scene in Mockingjay: Part 1, I'd say Josh will do a brilliant job. Can't wait to see his performance.
katnissandpeeta I don't think you understood my reply. I have "read" the books and I know Josh was brilliant from the way he acted out all of his scenes from the beginning of the franchise. That is why I believe he deserves an Oscar by now. I am looking forward to his performance for this one too.
In fact, not only is Josh's performance perfect from the two previous films and this trailer, but the entire cast was very impressive with each of their scenes as well. I was looking forward to seeing how some events in the books were done for the film and I was very impressed. I am as excited for this film and Josh's performance as much as you are.
Vicky Gan And I don't think you understood my point. We haven't seen the film yet so of course we can't judge Josh's performance in Mockingjay: Part 2. I know he will be brilliant, but still we have not seen his actual performance yet so we can't really judge it yet.
But yes I'm extremely excited to see him too! He is going to blow us away. Could not be happier that they chose Josh to play Peeta! And I'm so happy that he gets to challenge himself with a role like this.

what Jen said at the end about how she was initially annoyed by Katniss's reluctance to fight/start the revolution is exactly how i felt at one point too (mostly when reading mockingjay). Over time though, once i began to look at Katniss as a girl suffering from ptsd instead of an all powerful superhero, I began to appreciate the character more.

@@sof3276 this is the same reason why Katniss is technically an “unreliable narrator” when she tries to claim she doesn’t love Peeta. Basically she always loved him but was afraid to. The dalliance with Gale was safe and allowed her to continue living in her trauma

And a flight all the way to San Diego from England is much longer than one from Canada, where Jen is currently filming. The rest might not be filming or have more open schedules.

I love Jennifer, she is such a nice soul and so genuine and unfiltered. 5 mins of watching her and I'm smiling and laughing like a goofball.
I just watched a part of the X-men panel and you can see such a big difference! It's super obvious that Jennifer is more at ease and free at this panel. The chemistry between Josh-Liam-Jennifer is hilarious and I also thought the fans asked really good questions (it wasn't awkward to watch, which was nice)

I can't believe how much Willow has grown throughout this series. But hearing everyone talk about how this film ended it all, really made me so upset!
