Cormorants are such cool birds, and you did a great job explaining why! I love watching them hunt, it is truly one of the most unique hunting styles of any bird I know. Fantastic shots and editing as always, great work! - Harrison and Evan
This title! I love it!!! Such a common bird species up here in New England to see in wetland ecosystems and near the ocean but always one of my absolute favorites to see! Such a unique predatory strategy and just absolutely beautiful birds! Awesome video as always Ben and once again the wealth of information that you have is something I always love tapping into and learning from!
Great video! I always think these birds eyes are super cool to look at. They are such an amazing & highly specialized species. Great presentation as always, keep up the fantastic work!
First time I seen one of these birds I thought that they were snakes. It wasn't until I walked upon one and surprised the bird to see what they really are. Unlike a duck which floats on top of the water, the cormorant floats in the water below the surface.
What I loved the most was getting a fantastic up-close look at the small hook on the end of the cormorant's bill. They sure are built for fishing.
I was really glad to have gotten that shot, thanks for the support, Tim!
We have lots of Double-crested Cormorant here in Florida especially winter months. Cool birds. Thanks for this informative video. Nicely done 👍
Nice! A good bit of this footage actually came from Florida in December. Thanks for the support :)

Thanks for the support Satchel! Yeah they are so much fun to watch, especially when they catch and swallow prey.
Interesting about Cormorant: th-cam.com/video/cg-rbG-lcVc/w-d-xo.html
The double crested cormorant reminds of the spinosaurus for some reason
Oh yeah I didn't even think about that!
That’s so cool! Cormorants are pretty unique birds. I didn’t know they produced pellets!
Thanks Chris! Yeah they are pretty incredible, I also didn't know about the pellets until I started researching them for this video!

Yeah it's crazy how perfectly adapted they are for a semi-aquatic lifestyle!
A bunch moved into a local reservoir near me. They're neat to watch.
Free entertainment!
They are incredibly,
They fly, they swim fast, they hunt underwater,
They can hunt in freshwater and also saltwater, an incredibly animal
great video!!! nice high def footage
I never knew that they any bird swam after prey.
Great footage Ben!
Isn't that crazy?! Thanks for watching!
There are many birds species that do so. Not just the cormorant.
Beautiful bird 😮!!!
It really is!
Huh, I don't think I've ever seen one before, though maybe I have from a distance and thought it was a duck.
They do look like ducks from a distance, but once you get up close you can see the differences.
Been seeing one in Princeton MA on my bus route this summer!!!
Wonderfull video! Thanks for sharing this! Thats Amazing
Glad you enjoyed, thanks so much for watching!
That's interesting my grandpa from China has tons of trained comorants that they use for fishing it's extremely interesting
I saw a double crested cormorant when I was fishing and had no idea what it was!
just i love this video JUST WOW🦅
Thank you so much, really glad you enjoyed!
I saw one of these for the first time today! I watched it catch a fish
That's awesome!
EXCELLENT video!! XXXX
Thanks so much Nadia!
Good info, NO underwater footage of the hunt ???
I’m pretty sure this what I see in the small pond in my neighborhood.. I knew it wasn’t a duck or loon.
Gonna get some binoculars
Cool, let me know if you figure it out!
man i hate these things as a fisherman, i seen them wipe out a school of fish in less then 10 mins
Aw does the video no longer work?
It should still work, try refreshing the page!
No dice. 😭
Went to an old fishing spot of mine no fish and one of these swimming around
Cool!
They also have sonar thats on par with some Dolphins and whales.
I love birds
I consider them a pest ; apex without much natural enemies.
They wipe out small ponds...
