    This video pleases me greatly. Like I know it's a very mechanical process and it's meant to be efficient, but there's just something so satisfying and beautiful about the sound of the flowing liquid and the blade brushing the surface of the aluminum.

      @@skiving2020 I just love how engaged you are with the TH-cam audience. Plenty of these sorts of "satisfying industrial process" type videos going around, but I've never seen a channel like this.

    I think the slightest deviation in material thickness make a big difference in fin length. Am i correct? Also I'm curious what a tapered material would look like after this process. Also what does the blade profile look like is there relief under the blade.

    • @skiving2020

      The answer was late.;;
      Fin length (height) is taken while cutting at the beginning of skiving. th-cam.com/video/h4CqoRSQloc/w-d-xo.html
      Therefore, the material is finished with the same thickness as the base without taper. Finally, there is no relief under the blade. ^^; Thank you for your attention. If you have any further questions, please leave

    Is the heat sink cut down to final size after skiving? If so how do you avoid mechanical deformation of the delicate fins?

    • @skiving2020
      @skiving2020  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Cut to final size. Most of the materials used for skiving are soft, so the fins after skiving are harder and less deformed than expected. Mechanical deformation that you are concerned about is not a big problem. Thank you for your good comments.

      @@skiving2020 I think what they meant was how is this master block cut down to the final products without bending the fins (asuming the final products have shorter fins and you would have to cut it lengthwise), or is that width the final dimension and you just cut it up along the fins to get the final products?

    What keeps the heatsink from lifting off the table during the fin uplift portion of the process?

    • @Doppiovetro
      @Doppiovetro 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it's vacuumed

    • @skiving2020
      @skiving2020  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The heat sink is held in place by air (vacuum). Thank you~

    Didn’t fall asleep - 🙃, didn’t know that those slated heat sinks were made like that 😀, assume the water is for cooling/lubrication

    Can I buy some fins from heat sink 10 cm diameter I seen that u machine can make fins even 20 cm from u page

      For business related inquiries, please contact ssbaik@heat-sol.com.
      Surprisingly, what you need is a fin, not a heatsink.
      May I ask what it is used for?

      @@skiving2020 I have issue with response here I spend alot time trying to response but it didn't upload if it not work this time then check u email
      As an material to manufacture device as said I'm mail can u response with the dimensions of what u shivering machine is capable of what is the maximum dimensions of heat sink u can manufacture in with and length thanks
      Surprised that it works after 4th try
      I need material for manufacturing prototype machine u can think of it as an 3d printer prints layer by layer to make some kind of sculpture or component
      I will use spot welding to weld together layers of plate's to make specific pump impeller that would suck air from side and pull down smoke or cold smoke down to the pipe on a pressure and for future projects too I would make a prototype of electrical rotor

    What is the liquid you use for lubrication/cooling?

    • @skiving2020
      @skiving2020  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Use a cooling lubricant with a viscosity of about 5 to reduce friction and wear.
