to put it simply, this song is a prodogy of death , a direct reference to a very popular traditional Ballad 'Miorita' ,which i wont get to deep into because it's quite a dificult piece,The girls are also a folklore reference, they are precieved as the wind spirits 'Ilele' They are usually portraid as evil beings who fool humans ,there's also a very tight conection with nature, which is very common in our culture , it's was used a lot by our writers ,a great exemple serving Mihai Eminescu. I don't know for sure, but if analyzing this song enough ,it slowly turns from a marrige song , to a really interesting yet scary storyline . (From a moldovan)
I don't see them in betting forecast and It upsets me. I think YOU, guys, must win this year. After 2 semi-finals it's only one song, i'm singing from morning till night 😍. MOLDOVA, i wish you all the best !! With love from Ukraine 💙💛
The theme behind the song is death actually portrayed in a cosmic manner. Pasha is a shepherd that receives an omen from one of the sheep in his flock that two other shepherds are planning his death because they are envious of his fortune. He accepts his faith and sends news to his family that he has found his love and had married her and went away with her to spare them the sorrow. He then describes his wedding (death) where, in traditional fashion, they had all the important guests at the wedding, but in this case it was nature and cosmic elements personified: the sun and the moon were the godparents which traditionally place crowns on the heads of the groom and bride. The ladies were forest spirits (called iele, similar to forest nymphs or sirens) and his bride was death. This is a scene from “Miorita” (sheep) a folk poem.

Molodova's performance is unrealistically cool. They deserve a prize place
