When I first started watching these videos I didn't realize how important some parts are. The weight with different batteries, gopro, accessories always appreciated.
Thanks for the review...not a bad looking quad. I love the FC to be honest...i hope more companies start doing similarly
Fantastic flying and review, Nick!!! 😃
What a crazy little quad! I loved how it flies! (Although I don't like inverted motors... But only for aesthetics, really.)
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Hi Nick, great review and seems a fun flyer. I completed building my xi20. I went the naked vista to shave some grams and used some 1303.5 I had lying around. It still feels like throwing a brick around… Especially when the reference is a 2-2.5” toothpick :)
I need to fly it more but we also just got snowed in. So patiently waiting and building. That said the cruise flight indoors was quite a noisy experience!
It looks a very Interessting Combination long flight Time for Cinematic and some Aggressive Skill for Freestyle. And the Prize is fair i Think. For an RTF Quad like this.
+1👍 💪
lol, throttle is not an S, it's just some graphic to represent a TX's stick, bad design i agree
I may be wrong. It may be the "trails" of a spinning propeller, oddly enough.
Just finished a XI20 self build, analog, with 1303's. The frame kit also came with two propguards. Very happy with their product, well designed, no frills, durable. Flies really well.
Similar to my daily driver. But lower carbon plate to prop guard. The same prop guard is use by other manufac such as darwin. Its tough.. good idea spinning the ep1 anttenna at the standoff. I think u forget to weight it in the video like always..😊
Seems like a very smooth flying drone, great video as always!
Hmmmm...I'm really confused by how heavy both this X125 and the X120 are when compared to other similar quads. This is a whopping 205 grams for a 2.5" with 1405 motors. My 2.5" weighs a mere 121 grams with 1404 motors and a full armored Vista inside. So, this OddityRC X125 Pro weighs 84....YES!, EIGHTY FOUR grams more! HOLY COW!!! 🐮 It's also 112mm for a 2.5" prop and mine is the same size as the X120 Pro at 95mm for a 2.5" prop...The X120 Pro is only a 2" prop for the same 95mm size! These are both sooooo much bigger and soooo much heavier than the 2.5" I own. The 2" X120 Pro also weighs 19 grams MORE than my 2.5" quad with a full Vista. Granted 03 weighs more than Vista, but not that much more when both are stock and not naked. ODD how these are soooo damn heavy and large, motor post to motor post. Mine also runs on 2S to 4S.
It's gonna be near impossible to get the X125 Pro to stay under 250 grams when it's 205g without a lipo! I fly mine with a 450mah 4s all the time because the quad is so light and handles so good, it really rips with that light 450mah 4s! It weighs way less with that 450mah 4S than this X125 does WITHOUT a lipo! I'll bet it might just be less even with a 650mah 4S!
I do not understand why each of these ODD quads have to weigh sooooo damn much! Definitely the heavy weights in the class. Kinda CraZy! 😁
It could be the carbon weight/thichness, and the use of metal posts to hold the prop protection. That wouldn't account for all the weight difference. One thing with oddityrc is I don't get comments about them breaking even at their weight.
Happy new year......
fly smooth
Can you show config pid tune for this quad ?
I have an xi25 pro and it took forrrrrrrrrrrever to get to me. Motors burned out after fourth flight. They sent me new motors tho wich was really cool. I like Oddity they just need to find a US distro like yesterday.
how easily could we solder a runcam thumb on it (plenty of pads?)
sure. it uses the F7 40A AIO oddityrc.com/products/f7-40a-aio-4-6s all sorts of pads
Hi Nick, thanks again for all your work.
I'm in France, looking at this video at night, and I was REALY wondering who the hell was using an air blower outside at this time of night ! ;)
I really like this kind of quads, don't you think it is a bit underpowered to carry a full gopro ?
About the 03 antenna, I broke mine on my 5" on the first flight. this thing is ultra fragile and it cost 20€.... No wander why they keep it so low on this build ;)
see you !
I have an iflight titan dc2, which uses a 38x38 aio, and now those electronics need a new home. (I have a 3d print adapter to use 26x26 or 20x20 mounting pattern)
Between this and the cineape25. Which would you suggest to be used as a frame replacement?
Mann, love the frame and ducts. I think i was one of the first people to get the frame from aliexpress. And i used a 20a aio and 1504s thing was a rocket! It got crushed by my neighbour while he was backing out lol but the aio and o3 lived!! Only the frame and the o3 ribbon got damaged! Definitely recommend the frame!
Hi Nick, Great video and review of the Oddity125 pro. I like it. Thanks for the video and information about this quad.
Great video, as always, cool drone
Good microphone, I was wondering why my neighbor was running a chainsaw this late in the day. :)
Nice review. Subbed and thumbs up. Is there a tune file that you can download from OddityRC? I wonder if they tuned it. Looks like a nice flyer. I'm going to swap out my pavo25 guts for this freame.
Yes, oddityrc as well as 99% of quad companies do PID tuning. Some better than others. OddityRC is likely top 5% of manufacturer PID tunes. Always feel true and accurate in flight.
@NickBurnsFPV I assume I can DL their PID tune from their website? Tks!
@@armani007E55 yes, most manufacturers do post the pid tunes. I haven't verified in the moment though
@NickBurnsFPV they reached out to me. Amazing customer service. Looking forward on receiving the frame and 4s motors. I'll be definitely gutting out the Pavo 25 for this guy. Tks!
@NickBurnsFPV Two part question: 1. Between this and the Darwin CineApe25, which do you prefer? 2. Out of the larger Cinewhoops (2.5-3.5") do you have a favorite? Keep up the great work Nick! Love you reviews.
The oddityRC cinewhoops are the best I have flown. Oddityrc is my answer to both questions.
I fly analog drones with naked go pro, to be under 250gr I am very confused, Which would be the best decision buy oddity or cinelog25 v2
oddityrc cinewhoops are better in my opinion, they do offer analog versions.
always with good reviews nick and very smooth flights, can each drone review be given the best pid settings?
Hi nick, let me start by saying that I love your videos and thank you. So😊 I’m totally new to this FPV life and I’m about to make my first purchase, I’m between this one, or the oddtyRC 135v2 or cinelog 25 or 35 v2 . What are your thoughts? I’m leaning more on the cinelog because of the GPS. Oh I also like the tern but I need to fly with guard for a while I think lol
Thank you. Do you want or plan to fly far way from yourself? If so I would not encourage that for a first drone/quad. I think it best to keep the first drone relatively close (not as close as my backyard) but close enough we can walk to the quad to retrieve it when we go down....and we go down a lot at first. GPS isn't as usual with 200meters, but can still be somewhat useful if we don't have a good visual idea where we went down. My concern is reliance on the gps to "return to home". Return to home is a feature best use in very extreme cases, while it has gotten better over the years its not nearly has good as the return to home as in DJI drones. Let me know if i am being confusing or if you have more questions.
hello, what would be your opinion compared to the darwin cineape 2.5? obviously not the same quality of parts but in flight characteristics?
The darwin 2.5 is pretty good. Just not as good. I can't think of a better way to describe it in more detail.
what about the noise , it is much quiter? better take x20i or x25i .
Hi, I’m just wondering what drones are your go to on a daily bases?
Is the amp meter on the quad accurate? Because at one point I saw it hit 175 amps, which is crazy, and probably not safe for the XT30 power lead.
Not sure, those are calibrated at the manufacturing plant. Looks like it needs scaled down by 1/2. Sitting above two amps disarmed.
I don't know why but I keep getting unsubscribed from your channel.
youtube up to youtube games. I hear this from time to time.
Nice!
Im so torn...to get the 20 or 25....no, the answer isnt both!
really depends on what your plans are for that type of quad. Carry a gopro? Long flight? Inside flight? etc
@@NickBurnsFPV I built a 4s pavo20 and it rips like this, but I want a flat bottom for landing. I’ll probably get both lol
Great review nick! Oh by the way I got my patience pants on just waiting....... ⌚️
yep, that video is coming fairly shortly
Could I mount this props guards in geprc cinelog 25 V2?
Probably not, all the mount points would have to match up exactly and that isn't likely.
Hi i just saw this, after purchasing c20! so saddddd.. how is the noise of this compared to the c20?
I really can't say/recall. I would suggest watching both flights on the same device at the same time if you can.
Great review Nick!! Still no snow lol. Must be nice. We are getting down to -40*c with wind chill
Oh I have snow. We got nearly 8 inches in the last 24hrs with more coming down today, albeit very light snow today. I will post a picture on the community page.
could u just take the prop protection off?
radiomaster Zorro elrs not working in Android simulator how to solve tha problem
does the computer identify the device as a "Human interface device". What operating system are you running, are you using a cable that is both a charge and data cable, any usb hub being used, has the computer been updated and reboot recently...etc.
Just got mine today and I got a spare prop guard along with 2 sets of tri-blade props to go with the quad-blade props already installed. I also had the GPS and Cob lights fitted all of which work perfectly! Very please with this wee beast!
Nice. Thank you for posting an update on yours.
what cob LED did you go with? Gotta a link mate? tks
Glad this looks so good. Bought two of those F7 AIOs after your previous video and they should be here in a day or two.
Nice. I have faith they will work well, but please let me know.
Finaly
You always seem to have nice weather, Its so cold here in Liverpool
Lol, in some vids it might look nicer than it is. But overall for midwest US I can complain to loudly.
Hi Nick any chance you could let me know if it flys on 2 and 3s I have some 550s that will only work on toilet tank set up. Sorry this was ment for the 120 version in your rough and tumble video😊
No the XI20 flight controller the F7 40A AIO is 4-6s. so it wouldn't activate on 3s or lower
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks Nick, is that the same sort of thing for most small 4s quads, I was also thinking about that GEPRC HD smart16 Toothpick. Sorry for all the questions
@@fpvspin1605 It really depends on the AIO. Some can be 2-4s, or others might be 3-6s or like this one 4-6s
Love the contrast between sunday driver and the road rage Goofy from those old cartoons. Other than a few blips looks like it flys amazing. MoeFPV also mentioned in a recent whoop review about using extra techniques flying these to avoid prop wash and what not. Cold weather I'd imagine would impact quad as much as the pilot on top of that. Good to see a variety in these, smal enough because it's winter whoop season, and a biger one to save up for when the Spring arives! Thanks for the awesome reviews and taking us for a rip. Cheers!
Thank you. Yes there is a fair bit of technique in the different quads and how to minimize or eliminate any prop wash but really I think I make it sound harder than it is, good technique in most quads has no/very low oscillations.
Awesome rippin as always peace
damn i like your video but my wallet don't like it hahahaha
oh, maybe look away when the wallet isn't happy? :)
Thanks for the awesome content Nick.
Looks great! I ordered an XI20 Pro and can't wait to fly it. On day 10 with no order updates beyond 'Order Placed', so flying other quads until I get it. Ahh anyone else able to give their experience on shipping times from Oddity to the NE US?
My XL20 pro arrived today and it looks so well built.
@@dnyo what was the shipping time like
I ordered mine early last year and it took 10 days and that's to Hawaii.I was really surprised it was so quick.
Aloha,
Where do fly my Friend?
I just received the XI35
@@christroutman382 I'm in mililani so mostly around my house and sometimes to the north shore .
Do you use any kind of gloves when you are flying in the cold? Other cold weather flying tips? It's my first winter of flying, although being in Texas I probably won't have a TON of freezing to worry about.
I have tried various gloves, exposed fingers internal heat etc, I don't fly comfortably or as well with anything on my hands. It moved where the radio sits in my hands and my finger movements. I am a pincher btw.
@@NickBurnsFPV I bought some tipless, thin "compression gloves for arthritis". I'll let you know if they help. I'm a pincher, as well.
@@Dorff_Meister That is some gloves I haven't tried. Let me know how it goes.
A transmitter glove is a perfect partner for the cold weather. It’s like a hoodie for your remote, idk if you’ve seen those before.
@@ChomperFPV I tried one a few years back. Pretty much the same issue as wearing anything else, lose the finger sensitivity and hand placment/feel.
Amazing content as always... hey Nick, jsyk you can explain the tech all you want, still being the noob I am, I can only grasp bits and pieces of it for now -- what sold me is the FLIGHT VIDEOS... man, this one has GOTTA be my next daily driver! Cheers!!
Yea, its like being in a company wide meeting, some parts will make sense and others not so much. But hearing it will help relate later when it does start to make sense.
@NickBurnsFPV Thanks for your reply ... It's still frustrating, and has been quite costly, since I entered the F0V world June 1st. I still am forced to spend most of my time in Liftoff flight sim ... and after months of going back and back, I still can't fly small whoops indoors for more than 20 seconds at a time without crashing them (in Liftoff!) Long journey ahead I'm afraid ... just hoping the 'light goes on' and I get a handle on this anytime now! Thanks again, your flying is top shelf my friend ... such an inspiration!!
@@PianoManPaul Yes, it is a long journey. Keep in mind I have been making videos for about 8 years and flying inside started somewhere around the end of the first year. So it to has taken me a long time. If your using just thumbs on the sticks, try using a pinch style or even a hybri pinch style. Or the other way around, just to try something different for awhile. I used to thumb and felt I had stagnated in my progress, I switch to pinching (pinching with thumb and index finger on each stick) for a few weeks, then started to feel greater control and progress again.
@NickBurnsFPV Hey Nick, thanks so much. I'll certainly try anything you suggest - you're probably the most skilled indoor pilot I've ever seen after all. I'll soon be starting a drone/FPV TH-cam channel in this new year, documenting my journey as well. But man, this XI25 Pro looks like a cool little machine I'd love to try! Thanks again and please, keep the great content coming! 👍 😎
Another awesome review yewww
Same.. Camera angle?
Full tilt, whatever angle that is.
It's good to see another great review from you, Nick.
Thank you. BTW are you asking what my camera angle is or just agreeing in eyeballing it and go?
@@NickBurnsFPV I'm in agreement, eyeball it and go.
@@MadDragon75 gotcha. Sorry I am probably being dense. :)
@@NickBurnsFPV Hehe, no. I just didn't make myself clear enough.
You are always welcome to ask me questions. I will happily answer you.
obligatory comparison question about this vs the Pavo 25 v2?
For "freestyle" or otherwise more aggressive flight oddiyrc cinewhoops fly better than all the others I have tried. This one is 4s and will carry an external camera better as well as fly more aggressively.
Is there someone still comparing with betafpv!!! For me any other company always above betafpv , I have many issues with their products quads, Fc’s , Vtx’s and many, unless they prove against that I will not depend on them
@@ibrahimalrabiah1179 the Chips, Bec, ESC, CPU that use BetaFPV to assemble their FC AIO Cards are almost certainly 2nd/3rd choice, or they themselves have a terrible printing and/or soldering process of the AIO Cards, in contrast to their Cinewhoop frames have a good design and the Pavo 25 frame old version no V2 was really well thought out and the ease of disassembly and access to the electronic components is the best that exists, that frame then allows it to be modified, however BetaFPV only the frames are good, for everything else it is a terrible company with the worst Customer Service
Thanks
Thanks
Another one hahahah hello 👋
Yes, and hello :)
Is this a REVIEW? 😂
lol, yes this is a review :)
Great vid
Thank you
Yo, I got a comment by a youtuber❤
@@almaktaba1 lol, 2 now. Sure I read all the comments and reply, sometimes even when the comment isn't a question 😆
Great review as always.I've had mine for a few months now and it is one of my fav to fly in and outside.
Hey Nick! I think the "s" that shows throttle position is actually supposed to be a bit of a play on what a single gimbal looks like. A bit of the top and bottom of the gimbal and the dot in the middle is the stick. But I might be nuts for seeing that in it! I've always told myself that though :)
I LOVE my XI35! So fun and crazy thrust at 6S. The handling of the XI25 looks very similar to the 35.
Two high speed crashes into concrete at this point and the frame looks new so the carbon fiber is good quality. Highly recommended building one.
any damage to the prop protection?
@@NickBurnsFPV surprisingly no damage. Nice they have a spare but I have yet to use it
Thanks for the great review! I also received a extra prop guard. Great flying whoop. I have a few 25" whoops the Xi25 is easily my new favorite.
Nice. If you don't mind what other cinewhoops do you have?
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks for the response. I have to many whoops. I'll list my 25s. BNF: Oddity Xi25, Foxwhoop 25, Axis C25, Geprc CL25. QAV and Betafpv Pavo 25 that I built. Guess I could also include the Avata or maybe thats a 3".
@@FlybyJames Whoa that is a large collections and just the 2.5s. Thank you. Helps me understand further.
