We need to move a step forward. Political systems based on leaders are unfit to deal with today's world. Sortition and assemblies is my favourite solution...

Size that Ireland has chosen is too small to be truly represented of population. It's a truly representative of the population we need somewhere in the range of hundreds of thousands.

As a surveyer, I can tell quantity is no replacement for quality. A scientifically pulled sample can be highly representative and also manageable.

      Well explained? how lol.
We already have a citizens assembly, it's called parliament 😂
Only in this version normal people don't get a say, where in parliament i can vote for people to represent me,
in a citizens assembly i am not given a say, but have to accept it.
How can you represent all opinions? will you have Neo nazi and members of the KKK in the citizens assembly?
Or will you only have far left representation? because the truth is, you only like citizens assemblies because you think thats how you will get your own way.
What if on the first vote we vote to exterminate all communists? You support that?
or we vote to end citizens assemblies? lol because you only like the idea because you think it will support you bull shit backward politics

lots of unqualified generalisations , democracy, if it means every adult having equal vote is not an historically common form of politics. Lots of meetings for decision making have worked along the lines of a majority support, but in most occasions the meeting is not widely representative of all members of society. Even greek democracy was only male free citizens, and recent times have been the most democratic. I quite like the idea of representation by lot, to committeees/workshops which then weight the information of experts and proponents of a particular solution, but there would be plenty of rogue selections.

Deliberative processes are extremely different to oppositional, Parliamentary debate. Selection is important as you say which is why so much attention is paid to representative selection.
In Australia, we have run many of these, each to not only deliberate on policy, but also to learn from an refine.
The selection of those to represent the public, the control of the influence of money and corruption and lobby groups and the facilitated nature of this process compares very favourably to the current level of debate in Parliament.

You want to replace people who I voted to represent me,
And replace them with some randoms,
Who will do things “in my interest” and not things that I ask for.
How does it pick people at random? That’s going to be so corrupt. It’s really going to hand pick people. And if at first it does choose people at random, eventually it’s going to hand pick people.
      Next,
It seems to be based on “expert opinions” any real expert will tell you that they work with knowledge known today. Not fact. As you know, the earth was assumed flat according to “experts” based on the knowledge they had at the time.
A more recent example, the North Pole will be ice free by 2020. 😂 so accurate.
Next problem, what happens if there is no consensus? Government becomes useless?
If I’m selected, and they want to ban petrol cars to save the planet, I will vote no. I want petrol cars!
No expert will change my mind.
Now I’m at risk of assassination, I’m at risk of abuse and being an outcast.
How will this system protect against stubborn people like me who will not change their minds??
Does the system collapse? Am I removed for not going with the flow? Am I imprisoned?
This system is totally flawed on every level.
It’s an abomination of thought disguised as intellectual thinking.
In reality this will be the most corrupt political system ever created. It stinks of dictatorship.
I will gladly take part in any citizens assembly experiment and vote no, just to be a dick, and watch the system crumble.
And that’s the point, the system will not crumble, instead I will be removed for not having the “right” opinion.
This is a dictatorship, and anyone who thinks otherwise is living in a fantasy.
