I recently purchased one through Sweetwater (so I didn't quite get the bargain you did) and I have to say I'm having a ton of fun with it. I am not a big Strat fan. I prefer Gibson over Fender and I'm a big P-90s fan. Like you, I was looking for a good travel-size guitar and found that the Mini-Strat met my needs. This guitar surpassed my expectations in playability and tone. They do need a good setup and I would say that the only thing that needs upgrading are the tuners and maybe the strap buttons (they are a little on the small size). I would definitely recommend at least giving this guitar a try. Well worth the price, new or used.
I think the "short scale" has to be reinvindicated. I mean, if 6 ft people (a la Chuck Berry) play 24.7 scale... Then 24, 23 should be way more available for all of us who are significantly shorter
I own two, a red one and a black one, picked up for $60 and $65. The red is strung for Nashville tuning. I liked playing it so much that I wanted another to play in standard tuning as a living room couch and travel guitar. I accidentally bought a gig bag to fit months before I got a mini. Now I'm ready to travel !
I just picked up this same guitar at Goodwill for $20!!!. Took a little bit to get use to the scale, but it's a gas to play. Plus, I didn't have one, lol! Sounds good with OD. I like it! Thanks for the video!
Awesome demo! I have the same guitar. No regrets. But it should be known that mine out of the box required a little nut work. Anything fretted at the 1st fret was sharp. Still it's well worth the small investment. Much value per buck.
I am not sure about it, but I found a secondhand mini for obviously cheaper than most other decent guitars I can find I'm 5'6" and being a woman I have a smaller frame. My dad (of course much larger than me) plays a full size and I wonder if this would feel more natural for me to play and hold 🤔 However I do have long fingers and good finger dexterity/flexibility, and there are many phenomenal female players out there who play full-sized! I plan to go to a local music center to check out what they have/recommend. Might even try renting and trying out different guitars for a week with a teacher, depending on what they charge lol Not sure if that could interrupt my learning, but I don't want to put hundreds of dollars down on a choice that's wrong for me
@@IkeGuitar I bought it because I have very small hands . I can barely play a full size guitar due to my very short fingers. I’ve been looking at fender mustangs or epiphone power players as they have a shorter scale length. Any thoughts?
I am 14 years old and I love an electric guitar but I need a guitar that supports all sounds and sound effects and all music and I hope you help me choose a strong guitar and support all sounds and you too my friends help me

Mine doesn’t stay in tune. Also the frets buzz and have sharp edges. Gonna take it into my local guitar shop for some work and fixing up.
Don’t bother. Sell it and buy a different guitar!
