They'll also end up causing havoc with yellowjackets.
Their gross secretions, attract yellowjackets, who start to become aggressive in defense of the invasive bastards.
Then, the sudden increase in yellowjackets, causes an increase in Bald-face hornets, and European Hornets, that eat yellowjackets.
F these bugs! Luckily here in east PA., their numbers this year, seem to have dwindled.
So hopefully they'll inevitably die off.

Vinegar kills them instantly. The adults don’t survive freezing temperatures but the eggs do. However, apple cider vinegar is safe to use around your yard. I’m sure spraying a solution of that and water will finish off the eggs but this is something we should be concerned about. What if they could bite? What if we get an insect outbreak and they spread disease?

Whether some of you believe me or not but during my daily work Outdoors I see tons of these things and I observe their behavior and it is very unusual for any insect. If you ask me I think these things were man-made. They kill crops and are going to cause major damage to the agriculture industry and I think that this is a form of warfare similar to what the US did to Vietnam with Agent Orange to kill their crops but now this Warfare to kill our crops is in the form of a man-made insect. These things follow you and jump on you and do any and everything to try to get inside your vehicle and under the wheel wells. The insect knows what it's doing that it wants to cause Havoc by making sure it's spreads to other areas. They get on to my equipment knowing that it's going to eventually go back into my van. The insect is too intelligent so you cannot tell me that BS that this is a native insect of Asia.

Spotted lanternflies are an invasive species with few natural predators in the US. They were introduced in 2014 through eggs that had been laid on a shipment of imported stone from China. Currently, work is being done to assess the possibility of introducing parasitic wasps to help control their numbers but the research is slow going because we don't want the "cure" to be worse than the disease.

Spotted lantern flies are beautiful, harmless creatures. They barely harm anything and will soon be drastically reduced in number once nature balances out their population. Just enjoy them while they're here, for fck sales

@@rosalieriverachacon Lies. They're already diminishing in number. Just like the gypsy caterpillar, stink bug, etc.. they will soon be in far smaller numbers. It's the natural order of things. Calm yourself.

Yes. But we also have a right to breed and thrive. And they are a threat to our right to breed and thrive.
      Therefore, we kill them.
