I'm an introvert having some social anxiety issues. When I was a teen I was in my world/head and not talking that much. I could see what Luana meant when she say that she was feeling that she was "different". I was also getting into heavy metal at 12. When I started high school I had not much friends but ended up naturally drawn in that group of punk/metalheads. I never asked to join, it happened naturally. I always felt that they accepted me how I was. Always had that sentiment that metal crowd is generally more open minded, that we are people that are able to go past our judgements towards the others. Anyway proud to be a metalhead ever since. great interview, love Luana and her style. Crypta as an all female metal band surprises me. technical level, compositions, musicianship... I had not seen that before.

I think one of her "trademarks" is when she blasts on her snare with double bass accompanying on the same count; the combination of her awesome snare sound and the PLACEMENT of where she puts the blasts is very noticable! Love it.
Question for you Luana - do you double, triple, or quadruple stoke your rolls? Are you into the rudiments? You certainly have an incredible foundation of physical skill to take this on....!

Yes, she loves the unison blast. And her skank beats are characteristic. She mentioned "triplets" - I love her sextuplet groove in Death Arcana.
