After listening to this album repeatedly, bass/vocals 10/10 guitar 10/10 drumming 10/10. It's one of those albums where I really had to look to find a complaint about something, similar to what you guys did.. Overall, it's a top three album for me that I've heard in the last 10 to 15 years at least. I was starting to fall out of love with metal, and this album single handedly brought me back. And , that's fantastic, because like you guys mentioned, they only have an upward trajectory.
I agree with you guys about intro/outro and the order of the songs. Stronghold coming after Outsider kinda makes Outsider forgetable to me but when i listen to it isolated its a banger. Thats why im extra excited to see/hear the new stuff live and how they meld it into a setlist with the old songs. Now they have enough material for a hour long festival firework or a almost 90 minutes headliner show
I still need to put it on repeat more times to get into that depth you guys mentioned, im still with the impression of the surface where most songs look all the same, except for the singles and Stronghold, which i loved. Tbh, when im listening to Crypta its mostly Echoes of the Soul because i love that album to death, its so good. Cool review as always, guys!
Loved this album. Stronghold is a high point. All the single tracks. Actually sounds like a band playing together too. Sounds real but deadly of course.

There are many new elements in shades of sorrow (compared to echoes of the soul), BUT these elements are repeated too much on the album. The songs are great, but the ideas are repeated a lot. It's just an opinion, I love the band

I’ve been listening the album during the weekend. I must say I like the album more. Now for me is 9/10.
Even if these girls weren't so good musicians as they actually are, I'd love them for representing the Brazilian women in the scene.
