I’ll save you all some time from the beginning of the video the dude straight up doesn’t know the difference between plantar fasciitis and plantar fascia then they proceeded to say he is brittle. Seems like there’s more to them disliking Herbert than news on this injury

Justin Herbert has missed 4 games in four years! I think it's a little too early to talk about being brittle or injury prone lol.

He isn't tearing muscles or tendons, he is breaking bones from getting hit too much, too often. Not the same as being injury prone. @@smalls123321

He doesn't have plantar fasciaitus, he tors his plantar fascia. There is a big difference. Instead of playing with the micro tears in the muscle, he fully tore it, letting him essentially perform a self-surgery as his body regrows the muscle. It should come in stronger and larger than before, which means its NOT something he is going to have to deal with in the long term. I wish people who talked about football knew what they were talking about.

@@PatriarchyPatrol @greatslambino I didnt make it up lol. I haven;t seen any reporting from the official team source which states that he has plantar fasciitis, rather just that he hurt that part of his body - there is a big difference.
As for the result of him being probably more healthy, that is from a couple articles/videos I have seen from doctors giving their takes.

@@samtimm2348 You’re partially rig in that he did tear his plantar fascia, but in no way is that better than plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is inflammation of that tendon which is annoying and painful, but much less so than a partial tear. A full tear is less painful than a partial tear but plantar fasciitis is almost guaranteed to follow for quite a while during the long healing process and it is definitely something that’s going to stick with him all year if not future years as well…

  • @texmcboog

Getting your finger caught in a face mask is “fluke”, not brittle. Getting your ribs crunched on a sack when your O-Line doesn’t protect you is not “brittle”. This is the first non contact injury he has had. Also, this is an injury to the facia, not necessarily fasciitis, which is a more chronic condition. When I hear the med staff say, fasciitis, then I get concerned. I had an injury to my facia and with ice and proper support, it hardly slowed me at all. As Harbaugh says, I think they are approaching this with “an abundance of caution”.

I'm no pro athlete with a pro medical team but I've had plantar fasciitis for 6 years now and every time I let it "heal" and think its better I am proven wrong by the simple act of trying to run again. Then right back to where I started. I don't think it ever gets better, as the tissue is literally dying, not just injured.

    • @jameslemont8121

It’s a plantar tear, which should just be able to heal

Prior to last year at the end of the season, Justin Herbert was literally the top five quarterback in the league that has never missed any games and has looked at as an Iron Man. I don’t see him missing any games this year if he can play he sure as hell not logged in as injury you may get hurt, but that doesn’t mean he’s gonna miss any time.

How is Herbert brittle lol? You just noted that he played the entire season with a broken ribs? He played through a broken a finger? And then had surgery at the end of year when the season was already over. I don't care who you are, if you get your finger stuck in a helmet the way he did it will break.... Rivers played through an ACL tear...does that make him brittle? haha.

Having had plantar fasciitis I can say it hurts like a bitch, and the treatment hurts like a bitch. They inject you in your foot’s arch, where there’s very little meat. The needle hits the bone and feels like a hot spike being stabbed into your foot. I wish him well, but he’s going to have a tough time overcoming the injury.
