Thanks so much for uploading these and sharing! I wore the heck out of this album back in '88/'89... what a gem...she was at the height of her amazing career here... gone too soon but so very grateful we can still keep her memory alive on youtube !
For as long as this album has been a favorite, I never knew the show had been captured on video. What a treat to come across. Many thanks to NGR for helping to keep Nanci and her art so well remembered.
NGR gives you the best audio quality of Nanci out there. Video very nice when it appears. Don't know how he does it, but this Nanci fan is sure glad NGR can get the very best out of the sources.
In one of her songs she sings that she is plain as plain can be! I disagree with her and echo your sentiments that she was a beautiful lady inside and out! I saw her live numerous times when she came to the UK and she was mesmerising each time! Her music will live on forever with me!
I feel so sad watching this knowing she has now left us! The greatest songwriter of them all ! Her musical output is magnificent! I have every album she ever made her music takes me this magical place! R I P NANCI!
Once upon time, someone played 'from a distance' on the radio practically every day. I asked that person who it was and the album name, into my life came 'Lone Star State of Mind' and Nanci Griffith, she has now left this mortal coil, but she is still with me. I can't imagine my life without her in it one way or another. RIP. 😢
I was given this as a cassette by a co-worker, late 80’s. Was instantly smitten and now own every album. Saw her at Tarrytown Music Hall, right when she started having problems with her hand. She was still magnificent and is still maybe the best concert I’ve been to. Miss her dearly
Just tears. This is so beautiful.
love how she tells a story before each song sings
"Going up!" I always love that intro she gives.

Was thinking the same thing whilst watching. This was one of my most treasured CD's. Had no idea it was filmed. Beautiful.
This was the first of Nanci's albums I listened to. Thank you for enabling me to watch her perform it.

Gratitude forever to the sweet, lovely woman who introduced me to this record way back in 1988...thank you Melanie.
